They're going to have to tent and fumigate this ENTIRE building. Those roaches are now every other tenants' problem. :(

We have cans they call "bombs" here which look like fly spray but when you pull the tab, they release a fine mist of long term bug killer. For an average house, 3 cans will do enough to cover everything and it lasts for 6 months. Of course you shut the windows and take the pets out for the day. We also make sure that food and anything like fish are covered before we do it. You don't stay in the house while its happening. So I guess its like fumigating your own home DIY. They are relatively cheap and great when the fly season is about to happen. They won't sit on the ceiling or window sills. If they do they die. I have never heard of any adverse side affects. It would be ideal in these circumstances and the only way to get into all of the crevices.

The roaches are without a doubt already living in the building in multiple other apartments...her trash drew them in...but she's not the source or cause of them being there in the building in the first place 🙂
@lulunz6809
@lulunz6809 Ай бұрын
@@Esoteric_Ash Yes. Really, the building needs fumigating. We can do our own homes ourselves and we can buy the cans to do it at the supermarket. Basically as long as the windows are closed and food/fish are covered, then its as easy as setting off the cans and going out for 5 hours. The cans release a fine mist which kills cockroaches etc and will keep killing them if they walk anywhere the mist has gone. We can also buy baits etc. They are always around somewhere. We have native ones however they are harmless and prefer to live in wood outside. Its the German ones that spread disease.

Insects live everywhere, usually below floorboards & in skirting boards etc. It's only when a place is left with trash, stale foods & bits all over the floor, that they come out to feed.
@lulunz6809
@lulunz6809 Ай бұрын
@@sweetchestnut Yes there are bugs everywhere however I disagree that they only come out when a home is dirty. We are heading into summer so flies are the norm, people wash the outside of their house to get rid of spider webs and spray the house to stop them coming inside. Bug control is part of life. Don't people get flies in the summer there? We are always armed with fly/bug spray because they are inevitable. I don't know how big buildings like apartments are dealt with except for in situations like rats or mice. We have exterminators who go around businesses etc to trap them and lay bait. In single homes people use traps and bait themselves.

The mom is receiving therapy, the home has been cleaned, the roaches have been exterminated, the authorities are monitoring the family. All the pieces are in place for the child to be returned. Mom knows she is being watched so she is motivated to hold it together even when she is stressed. Hoping the authorities have provided means for the mom to get help before she gets too overwhelmed. May friends, family, and kind neighbors look to help her before things get out of hand. And mom needs to LET people help her so this never happens again. Shutting the door and suffering in silence risked the child's life and almost got him taken away 😔 Wishing strength for mom going forward.

Yes, but she will never be treated as a criminal and you can bet CPS will give him back to her since it probably took them years to realize how he was living to begin with. Read the message for yourself at the end. The only thing CPS was concerned about "was the clutter". For CPS, that house is simply considered "cluttered". Children are the least protected class on earth and as citizens, we should demand that if CPS isn't doing its job, it should be abolished. Too many children keep falling through their cracks and end up unalived or as criminals which impacts all of us in the end, and becomes a further excuse to continue infringing on our rights and freedoms. These agencies need to be held accountable for what they do with our tax money. If they aren't working, then we can find something that will.

Yes. Wrap around services like counseling, supportive child care, and health care are needed. And most parents are left to their own devices. We don’t have a “village” in this country and we have very little services to support families. Other countries have paid family leave for a year plus. Visiting nurse services for the new mom and infant for several months. Subsidized or free child care. This helps families succeed and stay healthy together.

It was so bad we had to keep the lights on in the kitchen all the time because if we did not, then turned the lights back on, every surface would seem to come alive with swarms like in this video. They would even jump off the walls and ceiling in their haste to scatter. At the start of this video, I was really trying to not judge and be open minded about how things got this bad. But the longer I watched this video, the more infuriated I became. The videos where children are involved, always leaves me wondering. Are they getting you to clean the apartment because they want a clean and safe environment for their child to grow up in, or do they simply just want their child back/not want their child taken away? Because if it's the latter, the moment CPS do their rounds/inspection and go, the mess will accumulate ten fold. The same goes for the landlord inspections. I feel the moment the landlord has come around and decides to not kick the tenant out, the pressure is off and it's back to square one. I feel it has to be the person making the mess that really, truly WANTS to change and wants to better their life. Side note: I am not from the USA, therefor I do not know how CPS works and all the details surrounding it. Extra side note: if I were her neighbors, I'd be PISSED. You might see some cockroaches moving into your space, you try to take care of it on a small scale, but they keep returning and each time, just more. You can't understand what may be happening and your space is always neat and tidy and you yourself might have kids that you're trying to create a safe and clean space for- only to find out it's your neighbor that's been the cause of all this.

I was torn between feeling empathy or resentment towards the tenant who clearly struggles emotionally. However, it's heartbreaking to see your willingness to help by providing a clean and deodorized apartment could endanger you physically🤦‍♀. Thank goodness🙏 your friend was there to assist with the task. Your incredible endurance is truly admirable😇, and I hope that after completing such an impressive job, the mother will value your efforts and maintain the apartment's cleanliness at all costs for her child's sake. The mattress was filthy and it was stained even on the base of the crib. I pray he will be developmentally "normal" now he is in clean surroundings, but it takes much more than than that. Clap Clap, Clean with Barbie. I can’t wait until next week. As always a perfect job. How wonderful to have the exterminator come. That makes a fabulous difference. This seems like a newer apartment with quality cabinets, countertops, and appliances. You made it new again! 🧤💙

Underneath all of that it is actually quite a nice apartment. It’s definitely one of the nicest ones I’ve seen you clean. Gee it’s a big help when you have random Johnny help you. It was hilarious when he had a roach go in his clothes.😂 Another big but fantastic job done again Barbie. You rock. 🤘 ❤🇦🇺🦘🐋
