Hi ATF I'm pretty new to hydrodipping and loving the roller-coaster ride of learning. I done a hard hat and after the 3rd time of dipping it 🙄 it turned out awesome no imperfections at all. Then I clear coated it and it looks like all the film has pulled apart and I have loads of cracks all through the film. I'm gutted what's happened?

If you were using a spray can activator you were spraying too close. The propellant in the can needs extra space to dissipate so that it does not ruin the film

Have you ever had an issue with clear coat turning purple? I applied a clear coat over a white and black digital camo and it went purple, could it be that I didn’t wash the activator off completely?
