Regularly scheduled Q and A for this Friday's episode..
1. Accusations of cowardice and incompetence have been hurled at the women in former President Trump's security detail, with many blaming DEI initiatives. Do the claims hold any water, and what are the complexities of VIP protection.
2. We revisit the infamous 1997 North Hollywood shootout, a harrowing 44-minute gun battle that forever changed law enforcement tactics. How would a similar event unfold today, considering advancements in police training and the pervasive influence of social media?
3. Lastly, we delve into the world of Zone 2 cardio training and the authenticity of military running cadence tracks. Is running to the beat of a sergeant's call-and-response chant a genuine practice in the Army, Navy, and Air Force?
Enjoy

Like your description of what matters in these organizations. I truly hope that what you say about "standards" begins to become the root principle for all organizations. This principle needs to be used in all organizations, Secret Service, Physicians, Engineering.....etc. Standards are all that matters....and it REALLY matters.

In Basic many moons ago, we would ride the cattle trucks to the range and then run back in the evening. One of the DIs figured out I had a load voice so I ended up calling cadence for the company every day on the way back. Had to suck throat lozenges at night to be ready for the next day. I loved every minute of it... I know strange

FYI, females taking the physical agility test for the USSS have a full 3 minutes MORE to complete the 1.5 mile run. In other words, the protectee could possibly have to wait an EXTRA 3 minutes before the agent can shield them with their body. Imagine the VIP standing there as bullets are flying, and they’re told, “the person responsible for saving your life can’t make it until 3 minutes from now sir, so just hang out and she’ll eventually get to you.”

Noise/gunfire inoculation is included in initial selection and ongoing protection program . Attack on principal while on stage training now includes the pancake and hold tactic we saw on DJT. This tactic was utilized instead of the traditional cover, shield and evacuate response you mentioned Andy to allow the counter-sniper teams to ID and neutralize the threat before further exposure of DJT. The outer ring of protection was obviously not extended to cover the shooters platform which was identified in the initial USSS advance was a failure. The interoperability of communications was a failure. Another obvious failure was the stairs used to ascend/descend the podium/stage platform were too narrow to allow the USSS to effectively move DJT in the collapsed extraction formation causing a bottleneck to delay movement to the vehicle. The PSP CAT response was a failure. The PSP Cat should have posted around the USSS extraction vehicle before the movement of DJT began. The 2 USSS CAT (Hawk Eye) members did deploy properly to the stage. There was a delay once DJT entered the USSS extraction vehicle due to the windshield being covered in hydraulic fluid being sprayed by the crane holding up the giant American flag at the site. The spraying occurred due to gunfire by the shooter. The USSS arrival at the local hospital was a failure. The security of the hospital emergency department was identified in the USSS advance site visit and was to include USSS agents before and during DJT's rally was a failure.

Secret Service technology for anti drone surveillance has been officially recognized on the record. Anti drone Denial was operational on site that day and the day before when Thomas Matthew crooks flew his drone. This technology does not allow the 2.4 GHz receiver to pair with the 2.4 GHz radio. Also, the VTX is rendered inoperable. In layman, the drone will not fly at all ! This technology spans miles around the VIP/Protectee. Director Ray said Thomas Matthew crooks flew his drone successfully 200 yards from the exact location Donald Trump was standing. How was he able to successfully operate a civilian drone?

@@manhalen7046 I think you're correct. Some people automatically set stuff up to delete key words. I reckon it's tiktok giving us words like "Unalive". I think the worst thing the ai makes people do is to randomly delete words simply because the letters contained within a word also spell other words. Like assist. or Pedicure - I've seen them spelled as*ist or P*dicure. Addict spelled Add*ct, like wtf does THAT do? Except make words much harder for folks like me who are dyslexic. It was bad enough to have to self censor and write f*ck in the beginning and I can kind of understand but not all channels are kid friendly, nor do I expect them to be. Or need them to be. I'm an adult and accept responsibility for my own actions. I don't need others to police what I say/write but I do understand that some folks do and so accept that comment moderation probably needs to happen in some form - even if I disagree with it.

I appreciate your take on the SS and the agents. I will also agree, my initial thoughts on the agent who couldn’t holster her firearm was to be honest - outrage. But after thought know it was the parasympathetic response and as you mention was probably the first time in a real world situation with full body armor. My second was of admiration for the female agent who saw an exposed Trump when he stood up and immediately moved in to shield with her body. The fitness standards are a 1% deviation. I couldn’t find the shooting standards but know they’re out there. I really don’t like how long they were on the dais, but now know they knew shooter was down and they were waiting on the vehicle “Hawkeye” before getting him up. Great recap.

One of the swat operators hit the deck and shot the ankles and feet off of the suspect and he bled out. I have a question, its off topic, but wouldnt it make sense at schools to hire one security guy that has a control room with all the moniters for cams, and if theres a sign of danger. Have like in prison or at stores when mall closes and that gate drops down. Some way of containing the subject in the entry way. They even got security doors at stores. If by chance the person gets past. Have something in ceiling the security guy can taze, pepper spray, shoot, the bad guy. or even zones where as the bad guy walks into an area, something like an ied or pepper spray from the walls or ceiling. electricute the floor in that zone something. or gates that contain the bad guy in a certain hall till the cops can get there and end the bad guys theft of oxygen. at the least. some classroom doors that cant be penetrated.

I will admit to also using cadence songs to get my running right sometimes. Helps me get my actual cadence up cause I tend to be a lower steps per minute (like 150-155) person with longer stride length naturally but that can nuke my knees if I'm trying to run with some winter weight on. Also I'm so stupid it helps me breathe while I run, just kinda makes everything automatic so I can autopilot my miles. I'm not a psychopath yelling out cadence at the park though, I just breathe with it lol. But yeah if I'm running zones, smartwatch makes it stupid simple, just glance at my wrist and change my effort accordingly. 100% worth it.

I've never been one to count out the tactics of a well trained woman and I do believe someone like "Evy Poumpouras" can be a vital survival tool to have on your team. This woman was trained by secret service and continued throughout her career to stay in peak physical shape and a woman like this can coordinate tactical perfection with the environment around her as a liaison or active tier one asset. Yes a situation like this is hard to call a few women are capable but those few capable needs to be surrounded by just as equal not more bodies with less capabilities because if there was a greater threat they would have never gotten Trump out if there in one peace

It's simply a fact that in at least some branches of military, for example, that standards have been lowered or tweaked for females, is it not? There are obviously many quite strong and resilient women in the world. At the end of the day, however, men and women are different. Generally speaking, the male body, bone density, etc. is better suited for carrying weight and other physical tasks. I believe women are often better at running long distances. It's weird how often the same people who like to say "trust the science" live in denial of these types of things.

Fitness standard question? I did see Judicial Watch put out a video that addressed this question with facts. Title: Different Fitness Standards For Male & Female Secret Service Agents I agree task & environment dictates need, gender is secondary. If a female agent can achieve the task then she has as turned her place on the team. The same holds true for males. There appears to be so much more that went wrong that day. This needs to be addressed and improved.

I agree with the assessment that they kept Trump on that stage too long. And allowing him to showboat to the crowd like that was ridiculous. And yes, the female agent having trouble holstering her weapon isn't a good look but there was also a female agent on that stage the jumped right in and filled a hole in that security formation without hesitation. Is she short? Obviously. But the hole in that formation was left open (by a man btw) so it's a bit disingenuous to point at her height as a problem rather than the real issue. The point is that until we find out otherwise, those women met the same standards as the men. They deserve the same respectful criticism that the men are enjoying right now.

So unless you want to pay more taxes to recruit more agents to give more coverage to all the former presidents you are going to get what you get. And for all those keyboard warriors all you have to do is apply to the secret service, past the physical, psychological and the back ground checks and you too can become a human shield.

Changing the statement from “women” to “detail” is a little disingenuous in this particular situation only because in all the video evidence, pictures, etc… it doesn’t appear the men in the detail did anything untoward. While the women certainly seem incapable of performing in that environment. But that’s just from what we’ve seen, so who knows what the whole story is. Because we’ll certainly never get the whole, accurate story.
