I truly enjoy your tutorials/presentations. Very concise, uncomplicated, down to earth and relaxing... like sitting in a friend’s kitchen. (I sipped on Cleavers tea while watching🤗) I learn a great deal from you. Might there be a substitute for the Ocatillo oil if not available? Thank you so much. All the best & God bless!🕊🌸

Thank you so much! The Ocatillo is optional. You could substitute Poke Oil (Phytolacca) as an additional lymph specific herb. Wise Woman Herbals carries a nice Poke Oil.

Thank you for the great information. When are the cleavers ready for harvesting in your area? I live in the most northern part of Michigan (lower peninsula) and I’m trying to gauge when it might be ready here. I can’t wait to try the cold infusion.

They’re usually best harvested in the spring before they grow their sock-grabbing seeds. They are pretty perfect right about now in the Pacific Northwest. I wish you good hunting (and gathering)!

What is the tincture you put in it please? Never heard of it before. Would the salve still be great for lymphatic without it?
@dr.mindya.curryndpassionfo75902 жыл бұрын
Ocatillo tincture…it’s a wonderful lymphatic herb from the desert. The salve would still be useful without it. You could also add some phytolacca… Here’s a good description of Ocatillo: www.voyagebotanica.net/blogs/yerba-mansa-anemopsis-californica/64708163-ocotillo-secret-to-longevity-always-keep-the-lymph-moving

@@dr.mindya.curryndpassionfo7590 where do you purchase the Ocatillo for tincturing? I Googled and looked also at MRH and they didn't show it.

Do i have to dry the cleavers before putting them in a Carrier oil ?
@dr.mindya.curryndpassionfo75905 ай бұрын
Probably. But they should be immersed immediately after freshly dried. This plant will lose effectiveness rather rapidly once dried. If there’s moisture in the plant when added to the oil, it may spoil. I’ve skipped this step before (in a hurry) by leaving the lid off the mini crockpot and hoping that the water in the fresh plant would evaporate overnight. Sometimes that works, but there’s a risk of the batch going sour, spoiling.
