I’ve had a set of these now for about 4 months, I was custom fit for them at a Cleveland demo day at my local course. I played in our clubs monthly comp and half way down the first hole one of the players noticed my clubs, to say the least he wasn’t very complimentary and for the next 8 or 9 holes I got constant jibes about “Grandad” clubs, however about half way round the game the jibes dried up. As we signed the cards on the last green I asked if he still had any comments about them, he said that he couldn’t bring himself to use such clubs, I smiled as I reminded him I had just beaten him by 11 shots, go figure ! Since buying these clubs my handicap has come down by 3.6 shots, I can’t put everything down to the new irons, but they have made a massive difference, my hitting greens in regulation has increased dramatically which is my biggest improvement especially with the 6, 7 & 8 irons.

Hey Paul. I have a complete set of Taylormade Hyrbrids that I use. I needed something a bit higher in loft so I bought the Cleveland HB turbo launchers in the # 8 & #9 irons. I like them quite a bit. I think they look good myself. I think its foolish to not consider them if they will help ones game. Well done! Spider Dubiel

Play the HB Launcher, but will look at these and the new Wilson Launch Pad irons/ woods. So easy to play in any conditions, won two competitions and managed three record rounds shooting high eighties on championship courses and I'm 70 years old. Playing these is like coming off blades to cavity backs, no brainier just get a reality check and ditch your ego. By the way nobody is laughing at my clubs, I've cleaned up this year. Great review well done!

I have researched these clubs, the Cleveland HP Launcher, and Cobra T Rail.... most have been critical of their looks(makes no sense to me). Your comment that you like the wide club face because you know its going to promote forgiveness is the most sensical comment..... this club is for newer golfers not a PGA pro.... VERY GOOD REVIEW.

I bought a set of the previous model for my wife to help her learn how to play golf. I tried them ( along with a 14 degree Driver, shorter 5 wood and a 22 hybrid) and found them very easy to hit and equally as accurate as my single length irons. In fact I played one of my better games ever. Perhaps I should use them too!

I think they are a great option Tom. I actually have a complete set of taylormade hybrids that I use but I needed a number 8 & 9 Iron so I got them in the Cleveland Launcher Turbo's. They are working out well. I think they look decent and work extremely well. Silly not to consider these. Good review. You make some valid points. Spider Dubiel

Looking at getting a couple of these for my set (PW-7I) only question is if you can work the ball - I prefer to draw shots. Can you put a draw or fade on these irons or does the "forgiveness" they provide prevent working the ball.

I just returned mine for something else....they were a dream to hit on the simulator. Despite the forgiveness, I do hit them with a fade so when I was in the rough, the fades don't fade consistently leaving me a lot more work to get up and down. They also can go super high sometimes and get caught in the wind. I loved the good hits. Obviously, you never know until your on the course. IMO, if you can hit them straight +-5 yards fade/draw, you shouldn't have a problem with them. But if you have a 6+ yard curved shot shape, you might want to get something thinner that doesn't get caught in the ruff.

@@adrian_sanchez Yeah I decided to stick with my Mizuno JPX EZ irons and spend more time working on my form and iron striking. Maybe some day it might make sense to try something more forgiving but for now I think I can still improve with less forgiving irons.

Are the turbos that much better than the regular HBs?

It looks like they strenghtened the loft on a few of the irons.
