I played my Cleveland Launcher 460 for 15 years; Cleveland drivers are vastly underrated.

How loud are they? I’ve had one since they came out with the gold shaft I went back to it a few times recently and it had too much spin

This is one of the best drivers out there right now for anything low to high handicappers. I bought this driver a couple months ago and I hit this thing further and straighter on my mis-hits than I do with my old driver on clean hits.

0:36 I really like that graphic Cleveland developed to show how all the settings of the adjustable sleeve affect the face angle (face positioning: open/closed), loft, and lie. I wish more manufacturers would provide a more detailed table/graphic like this.

They just put a srixon hosel in it and copied the book over from the 725 release quite some time ago
@pauldupouy73373 жыл бұрын
It is the same physical adaptor, just marked differently. The older Cleveland customs had a chart specific to face angle instead of loft change. IIRC the srixons have had loft changes marked instead.

I bought the Cleveland Launcher XL lite 3 weeks ago after watching this video. It is a very forgiving driver and i still get my average distance on the off center hits. Just like when Matt said he hit it off the heal but it still got distance, I'm seeing the same thing. I'm astonished with how straight I'm hitting the ball with this club. Thanks for the great review on a great product.

Been playing this Cleveland Launcher XL for a couple of months and after messing with the loft I can hit some nice looking drives pretty consistently. As a roughly 18 handicap player that's all I can ask for.

Cleveland Wedge - no problem. Cleveland Putters - love em!!. Did expect a driver. Might have to test one out.

Totally agree. Cleveland are very underrated for clubs other than wedges. But they are pushing technology into these clubs with great results. For eg. My frontline putter feels amazing at half the price of other brands.

I game the Cleveland XL Halo 3 & 7 woods and I’m absolutely satisfied with them. I use the 3 wood quite often off the tee. It’s straight and super forgiving and I can hit it nearly as far as my driver. The 7 wood with the glide rails is great off the fairway and works equally efficiently out of light to moderate rough. These clubs not only saved me substantial dollars versus the competition but they punch way above their weight. I know this was about the driver but I think players overlook these fairway metals as well and they’re really good sticks.

I've been a Cleveland stalwart since 2003/4, I've had the original launcher drivers, 400,460, 460 Comp, Hibore, Hibore Xl, SL290, TL310, Cleveland Classic, Classic XL, and XL custom.... I've hit some booming drives with the Launcher Comp and Classic Custom XL, they're very underrated drivers, I've driven 380yd par 4's at my club and that's no BS, I love Cleveland and always will!!🙌🏻 Only downside is they don't make players irons any more so I had to get a set of Mizuno blades, and they're great as well!!

Surprisingly effective driver from Cleveland. They are totally shunned as a driver brand by consumers in the UK in my experience. Retailers also seem to struggle to sell them.

If the numbers hold up well with Matty's swing it should translate to anyone else's. Video shows forgiveness with plenty of ball speed too, on off center strikes.
@mikewilliams14793 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I did think the same, but if it holds up at higher speeds then it should do better at lower speeds. Also kinda seems he did hold back with the first few balls.

Agreed let one of the other guys hit some of these type of clubs to get better feedback. I love Matty but his swing is wayyyy to fast for this clubs designed user
@rdj3video3 жыл бұрын
This video ties together the new Cleveland XL offerings quite well when you watch Matty play the new Halo irons right handed. 115 with the PW. They were particularly impressed with the 4 iron. The comments in that video yearn for him to crush it left handed which is basically what he does here with the driver.

Hey boys, awesome vid. Question on the lower smash…is that a trade off due to the higher MOI? Do you sacrifice energy transfer for stability when you move the weight that far back?
@erich98823 жыл бұрын
Most likely the result of a lower head weight thus transferring less energy into the ball.
@dzaino19863 жыл бұрын
The higher loft setting (10.5) is also playing a role in lowering the smash factor.
@kennykoalabear2 жыл бұрын
@@erich9882 I wouldn’t think the head weight is low as it has a counterbalanced shaft.
