I saved 10 thousand dollars this year by just not looking at my bank account & quitting online shopping. Bills were on autopay and I was Stevie wonder the rest of the month. Also took my lunch to work instead of eating out

This is so crazy, i just calculated my savings and it's just over 9k and i was calculating when I'll get to 10k. This is the most I've saved in a year and I only make 35k. I rent out an extra room in my home, i save the money i used to pay for car note once i paid off my car, and I save the gas money i used to use to before covid. Plus i saved my stimulus check.

I'm not a girl, but I find this advice most useful for a 60 year old male starting from scratch after the loss of my mother a few years ago. I'm just now seeing light at the end of the tunnel. This is great advice considering $10,000 is my goal for 2022. Thank you!

I'm working on saving a 20% home down payment over the next few years and have decided to save $10k per year so I can still build my emergency fund at the same time. I have 2 friends that's on their financial journey, so we are each other's accountability partners, I read financial books, watch financial videos, and listen to podcasts. I'm determined to stay moving towards my financial goals.

if you feel overwhelmed about how to save money, you’re not alone. While some may think saving money is relatively straightforward, one in five Americans have nothing saved at all. So even though spending money is arguably more exciting, you should consider saving money a priority. And there are plenty of ways to save money that don’t involve making sacrifices, either. Sometimes the best way to start saving money is simply to become more aware of your finances and spending habits.

I like your information because I did something similar when I was saving up for my multifamily property. I would save $350 every two weeks so $700 a month. If I had extra I would save more. If I couldn’t do the $700. I at least made sure it was $350. Eventually I was able to get to $20k and used it for my down payment. I don’t have that job anymore unfortunately and make a lot less but now I’m a landlord and my tenant pays most of my mortgage in the upstairs unit. I’m trying again to clear off my debt again and save for something else big 🙏🏾 🤞🏾. It feels harder to do this time now that I already purchased the property. But your video was motivating, thx.

Thank you so much for this! Just gives me confirmation that I have been on track and feeding my mental/physical/spiritual with the right stuff. Next month Apr ‘22, I will have reached my 10k goal. I’ve been saving now already a year. So by the end of this year, with putting 1k aside a month, I will be at 18k. It’s so close to 20k, so my OCD kicks in when it comes to that, so I will try my best to put any extra with it to get closer to the 20k. I just became a sub! Anything that edifies my life and growth, I’m all for it. Again, thank you for your meaningful content! God Bless you and yours.🥰

Love your background and your lipstick! Such great advice especially the first suggestion. I have been finding ways to shave money so that I will have less bills. No cable only 3 subscription app services. Prepaid phone service (bought an iPhone 6 out right a couple of years ago and won’t change anytime soon). My biggest bill was eating in so I challenged myself to two months (Aug and Sept) of no ordering in only groceries. Been saving so much money. Gotta pay student loans and am taking advantage of the zero interest!

I save $300-$500 a week of my salary. Saving is a good thing. And if you don't have any aim or goal, it's hard to save. One must have a goal that burns like fire in one's bones for one to save. You share one of THE most important concepts in personal finance. P.S: I learnt about saving from a lady too😀

Breaking this savings down this way gives me hope that i can do this. I will start with $5k, ie y'all pray for me that i don't dip into this goal when am feeling stranded. Get a part time job, side hustle, etc.. Automate your savings( ask your employer, bank or do it manually). I find that mine takes slow for the money to get out of my account, then i use it. so am finding another method.

This video helps you to have ways to save. And if this amount is too big for you to wrap your mind around Start Where You Are At with a smaller amount. I am stair stepping my way up. 1. A thousand dollars in an emergency fund ($500 if you make less than $20,000 per year). 2. Set up sinking funds (i.e. Christmas, Back to School clothes and supplies, vacation and emergency fund). 3. Do monthly savings challenges. Any amount saved is more than you had before. 4. Work on paying your bills on time and avoiding late fees. Then stash that cash. 5. Build a cushion into your checking account and into monthly bills. Start with one bill and have a full months worth in your account before your paycheck hits.
