Hello hello! In this video we talk about how Rockstar reset a ton of players accounts on GTA Online for using a money glitch. Pretty quirky stuff. I personally think it's unfair, but hey whatever, I'm not a multi billion dollar company so what do I know.

Maybe if they increased the payout for missions instead of going with the whole, "replaying missions is a glitch," bullshit, people wouldn't have been so apt to cheat. It was evident their main priorities were to fix anything that could potentially hinder the sale of shark cards. They willfully ignored community requests, and insisted it was all due to the hackers. I gave up on Rockstar, Take-Two, and GTA Online a long time ago.

Im not going to lie. People who do these glitches should ONLY get money wiped, then rockstar should patch it immediately. The bans are a little too much. Sometimes gettin to level 135 (the max level to unlock everything) takes time to get, if you have a job or school.

R* didnt just shoot themselves in the foot by doing this, they blew their damn heads off. Like what the actual heck did they think would happen if they did this? People who already abused money glitches will just wait for the next one to come by and do it again, and first time offenders? Theyll most probably either quit the game for good or turn to modding, not buy a shark card and add to R* pile of money, not to even mention the innocent people who got wiped, in which case you would probably just uninstall the game and burn the disk if its a physical copy. Madara Uchiha My guess is, they're afraid GTA:Online might get shutdown if Rockstar isn't hauling enough cash to "support" the servers & upcoming updates (even though there's rumors of the game running on Peer-2-Peer; and the fact Rockstar already earned billions from Shark Card sales alone). This in turn would make all the progress they've amassed for years end up in a bin straight from Cherbonyl. Buyer's Remorse, if my memory serves right.

The problem with the "hacker problem" is that 90% of the people who use mod menus etc, actually use them to bully griefers and give players money as a big "fuck you" to rockstar for their insane prices. But its the 10% of hackers that abuse it to cause chaos and ruin the game for everyone that cause a massive problem.

Yep, been modding since not too long after GTA came to PC. I stay out of everyone's way generally and deal with people who cause issues. Money drops take a lot of time to do but I do them when I'm really bored.

Average Alien its relatively hard for people to make money in Online when they start out, I know from experience that it takes days to weeks to even months to get your first buisness and start making profit, especially without friends. Now yes, you can make a decent amount by grinding but that takes weeks and months that many people don't want to spend, either due to lack of time or just the missions paying shit because you know they do. So it makes sense for people to do glitches every so often, especially when there were no repercussions. and another thing; these glitches are pre existing things that exist in this game mind you, are found whenever a new update comes out. That is on the developers for not putting in patches quick enough or getting rid of the chance of exploits being found in the first place

Honestly, the situation surrounding Take-Two, Rockstar, and their cashgrab online modes deserve to be covered so heavily so I applaud you for doing so. The gaming community absolutely should lean into Rockstar and Take-Two heavily for terrible decision making just as they should any other dev/parent company. I'll also point out that at the same time this money glitch was going on there was a player godmode glitch, guess which one took an additional two weeks to patch?. They patched this particular money glitch twice before they even looked at the god mode glitch.

Mc businesses, bunker, and nightclub business and casino heist with all the upgrades makes me easy money per hour. I don't even play that much. But I got $45 mil and can easily afford stuff without too much work. A sell mission here or there and then buy the supplies (with staff and equipment upgrade) and do whatever you want and then go back to sell. Nightclub is best way to earn money passively cuz you don't even gotta resupply.

They did the same with the plane glitch, a glitch that popular will get patched quickly. Normally they'll simply take away any money you got from the glitch. But with this one, they took the money away if you glitches less than 1 billion, and reset your account if you glitches over a billion.

Throwback to christmas of 2013 when rockstar went on vacation, allowing hackers to steal literal billions from robbing a corner store and giving it to randoms, who then went and bought all the expensive cars and upgrades. When Rockstar employees came back, they realized what happened, set everyone's money back to 50k (even the ones who weren't given billions) and did nothing else, punishing innocent people while the ones who actually hacked the money in could just sell the cars they bought and earn back what was taken

Maybe there wouldn’t be so many money glitchers if Rockstar: 1. Made in game activities worth the time and effort, instead of just a tedious and frustrating grind. 2. Didn’t encourage griefing that wastes your time and forces people into weird solo public lobbies 3. Didn't want to risk losing that. After the glitch was patched and i got reset, he was also reset a week later. Didn't do anything, never did a glitch. ( The friend ) Yet he was reset, and he's not the only innocent player who was.

Every time I hear about GTA Online, it's usually a "Guess what Rockstar did this time to screw over everyone that plays the game???" so I am very happy with the decision to never play it. They clearly only care about money. It's ok, they are a company, not a charity, but then they should offer something in return. Like finally do something about the hacking problem, not throwing a hissy fit because players have found a way to not buy shark cards or having to grind endlessly. On top of every money glitch being patched within days, there are many another game breaking bugs that they have yet to patch years after existing in the game. The new update has an invincible character glitch that has yet to be patched. For those who do it, they are immune to any and all weapons in the game. Not even phased by a missile to the face or the orbital cannon. The only way to stop them is to repeatedly run them over in a car until they go passive mode and escape or leave the game. Cockstar is going to end up with a boycott of the game if people continue to come across game breaking bugs that exist for years without even a word saying anything about it being dealt with. Rockstar was going in the right direction with the casino and casino heist updates by fixing the oppressor mk2, passive mode, and EWO mechanics. If they kept doing that and not neglecting the game like a newborn child, it would have been a more balanced and playable game

i was laughing so hard when u mentioned the glitch because, I used it my account got reseted all wiped away, at first I wanted to quit but I found a rp glitch which was pretty much the same as the money glitch except for one or two things that were different. It’s really odd to me that R* decided to wipe accounts because of this glitch and not the Lester airport plane glitch where you could ago and make literally 1k every second. Still have no idea who at R* thought wiping an account would be a friendly reminder to stop glitching and play the game how they intended. I guarantee every1 whose account got wiped probably won’t play online anymore, innocent or not.

What GTAO has been (still is) throughout the years is a mobile free to play game disguised as a $60 AAA game. There is nothing of value except shallow, meaningless level progression, with almost all of the value being hidden behind ridiculous prices. Just like the mobile games where the end goal is to fully upgrade your house or weapons, for example, but it can be totally skipped if you just pay real life money for it. That's it. All you get is virtual value which makes the tedious tasks a bit or a lot easier to do. If it's not the grinding stuff you're doing, then more simpler things as having an expensive inventory would what you would call value. But that is a sidetrack from the other parts of the game you're playing. Sure, having every car in the game is nice, but if that's the only value in the game, is it really worth playing? My answer is a clear "No.". What's the purpose of having a progression system if it's skippable or not even enjoyable to do?

Players shouldn't be punished for taking advantage of glitches and exploits. It's the developer's job to ensure such things aren't possible. When companies do this, it only shows how greedy, childish, and insecure they are.

they didn't reset money because the players would have just bought a bunch of expensive cars and properties and got reset just to sell the stuff and get most of the glitched money back, a lot of them KNEW that the glitch that big was gonna get them money reset or something of that nature so they just used that method on alt accounts shoot if i still played the game i would have done the same thing. but i can see how that's a bit harsh on some players who just wanted to try the glitch once on there main character

They actually had a dns server glitch where you could make trillions. And a lot of xp all they did was set people back on levels and took away money
