Ooo yes I like the transition from the last jump to immediate snorkel with the turtles and whales! 💙

The whale sounds are magical aren't they?! I liked the transition too, it turned out even better than planned I think.

Thanks! We used a GoPro HERO8 for this entire video. amzn.to/3uQVBlJ

@@murphytravelsofficial did you use the waterproof housing or no?
@murphytravelsofficial3 жыл бұрын
@@CNsAdventures No, we didn't use a waterproof housing for it. The HERO8 is waterproof down to 10 m/33 ft. so for snorkeling we just use the built in mounting to attach it to our handle/wrist strap.

@@murphytravelsofficial yes that’s true but I’ve seen a lot of people say you should get one just in case. I have a hero9 and don’t have one. I’m crossing my fingers everything will be okay. Loved the footage 🤙🏻

@@CNsAdventures Yeah, we've used ours quite a bit in the water without a case and haven't had any issues so far, but adding a case won't hurt either. And thanks!

Advice to everyone who is interested in jumping off Black Rock. Swim out to the area where everyone is jumping from, it is much easier to climb up just to the left of the ledge where you leap from, opposed to trying to traverse all the rocks from the beach. Learned from a local where to climb up back in 2016. @2:33 you will see exactly where everyone climbs up from the water. Time it right and wait for a little swell to help push you up. Water socks/shoes or Teva sandals make it easier to climb but you can do it in bare feet. It is not that high, maybe 16 feet, and we saw young kids (10yrs? old) jumping. I helped a 50 year old woman, who was terrified, gain her confidence and jumped (3 times)

Hi there, I loved your video so much! We will be there in 2 weeks for the very first time in Maui ( Kaanapali) and I’d like to ask you is it safe for 16 y olds to jump from the Black Rock? Would you recommend water shoes?
@murphytravelsofficial2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! If they are pretty good swimmers and there are not waves then yes I would say it is safe. You will definitely want water shoes, the lava rock is pretty sharp. Have a great trip! 🌺🌴🙂
