this was Seo Taiji's 25th anniversary concert. He is considered the first kpop artist as part of Seo Taiji and the Boys. This song came out it 1995 so it wasn't 90s influenced, it really was 90s! He doesn't look it but he was born in 1972.

Just a small detail, but me & many others do not consider Taiji as KPop. He is the influence, inspiration, impetus & template for the idol industry's birth. Thus, he is indeed the father of KPop, & so KPop is his child. Another analogy is he is the "employer" & the KPop industry & idols are his "employees". KPop basically copied the formfactor, style, music & look of Taiji & Boys. And Lee Sooman perhaps brought the business model part of it. And KPop is not inherently Korean, it is practically actually all from the United States. As far as Taiji's looks & still looking young-ish, he has been jokingly called a vampire before. It's no surprise because in general, Asians do have a younger look even in their 50s. Again, that's in general. One reason for this is melanin. White people, in general again, tend to have more wrinkles as they age & that is because they have practically zero melanin, so they can't protect themselves from the Sun 24/7 for their whole lives. The best for every person on Earth is to tend to hide from the Sun as much as possible if you don't want to be too wrinkly in your senior years.

Seo Taiji & Boys performed from 1992-1996. They were censored a lot because they wrote about social issues in Korea and criticized politic and the education system. They had a big impact on changing the music culture in Korea. The group celebrated 25 years later and shared the stage with BTS for that song. BTS made a remake in 2017 specifically for that.

I'd really like to see this whole concert if it's out there. BTS' dancing and singing with an apparent legend (when they are now legends themselves) is pretty iconic. I'm hear for more BTS, and I'm in the US. You can find their official videos, dance practices, behind the scenes on either BangtanTV or Hybe Labels under BTS. Other channels, for the most part, are Not official BTS channels. There are few exceptions, like when Jungkook did FIFA World Cup 2022 live and MV is on that channel (as well as BangtanTV channel), or when they do ad campaigns...something like that. Anyway, thanks for reacting to BTS.

All the members of BTS are releasing solo albums before joining the military. It's mandatory in Korea. They won't be back as a group until the end of 2025. Jin went in last December, and jhope is going in any day now. Jhope and RM released their albums last year. Jimin released his album last month, and Suga is releasing his album and doing world tour starting this month. His single drops tonight at midnight. I recommend checking out all their solo work as well as their group music. You used to react to them for a short time, not sure what happened?

5:30 silver jacket he is the god father of K pop, he wrote this song to encourage children who where running away from home to return home. A lot of them did return home, the guys singing and some dancing is BTS. J Hope and Jungkook started..

☮☮You know when you mentioned that foreign groups don't get a chance, I remembered when "XJapan" had been laughed right out of the country in the 80s. - They were the biggest band in Japan and brought Visual Kei to the masses, filled the Tokyo dome 18x with 50 thousand fans each time. YOSHIKI is considered the Rock God and Baby Metal's song "Head Banger" is in honor of him. --Gene Simmons from "Kiss" said: If they had spoken better English they would have been the greatest rock band in the world. If you want to take a look at them start off with "KURENAI" followed by "ENDLESS RAIN" at the "Last Live". You won't regret it ❣❣ I sure love them!

Pronounced (So ta Gee) he is the father of KPOP ...Before him it was all Trott music in gold lame jackets....He literally not only changed their music,....but also their culture ...... Please do their actual remake BTS "Come back home Live 4th Muster"....they changed it a bit💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

If you aren't aware BTS released their anthology album called Proof in June 2022 along with their song Yet To Come that closed Chapter 1 for BTS. And in October they performed their final concert in Busan South Korea as BTS until at least 2025 so they can fulfill their mandatory military service for a minimum of 18 months Before they enlist they have been pursuing solo projects with plenty of music releases over the past year and still more to come. J-Hope, RM, and Jimin have all released solo albums and Jin released a song before enlisting. And Suga's debut solo album is coming April 21st. Jungkook performed at the world cup opening ceremony and J-Hope performed at Lollapalooza. Honestly so much has happened with BTS I don't have the time to put it all down right now.

I could have sworn I was subscribed but it didn't show mw subscribed...it may have been one of my other accounts...anyway I am soo happy you are wanting to see more BTS cause I really enjoyed your reactions and your industry insight. So much has happened since you last reacted to them....I don't know where to even begin requesting. Ummm, ok this would be my personal preference but there is much more content released both before and after this released so...in December of last year RM put out his first official solo album and it is called INDIGO. It is an amazing album. I think it will be one of those albums that stand the test of time. I would very much love to see you react to the entire album in order. (BTS ALWAYS stresses that there albums are meant to be listened to in order from top to bottom. There are 10 tracks and 10 different genres and loads of content of live performances and interviews with RM explaining the inspiration behind each song, etc. There are 2 music videos for the album and 2 visualizers. The remaining tracks have color coded lyric videos. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THE LYRICS!!!! Anyway, thanks for coming back around to BTS. If you are interested in BTS's Korean influences I can recommend some artists that they have said inspired them. Anyway, thanks again!

That concert is awesome! Seo Taiji is a legend in Korea. You want to know other good artist from the world? well, the world is plenty of good artist, that's why it's a pity to see the current decadence... to me, BTS brought back my love for music! Shinee, Bigbang, Rain (solist), The Rose (K-rock) catched my attention too, but not the way BTS did. Japanese artists are excellent too: Fujii Kaze, One ok Rock....

It is said that Korea was having a problem with runaways and many did come back home! I follow AR too and remember he loved this!! Our BTS boys were honored to work with this legend and were in their 'element'. I've found that in order to romanize Korean in English, they go a full way around (for my likes): Seo = So (but a clear cut o, not "ou") ;) I love Anthony, so maybe that's why you were prompted in my recs (you tagged him there)!! If you're interested... the pronunciation of Seo Taiji is "saw tie gee"... it's three syllable. The "eo" in Korean is a single syllable and the pronunciation is similar to the "au" in the word 'caulk'. BTS was given permission to do a cover of this song "Come Back Home". There is a great live version during Muster 4, I think

I am recommending Epik High to you because they are also Hip-Hop from Korea, although Seo Taiji & Boys is the OG of Hip-Hop in Korea. Epik High is on their North America Tour right now.
