I am Korean~~^^ I recommend Seo Taiji Symphony. Seo Taiji was a genius who played all the instruments on his album, composed, wrote lyrics, and produced it all by himself.

I think its easier and more accurate to to say that seo taiji is THE founder of kpop he didnt just set the standards. He had the first kpop group and after other ppl tried to copy what he and his group did in a more shallow way, he disassociated himself from the kpop industry. Thats why its so special that he reached out to bts and calls them his spiritual successors. both speaking about societal issues in their songs. and having an interest in bts after not rly reaching out to other idol grps. He respected them so much he allowed them to recreate one of his most legendary songs come back home. Idk if u reacted to it yet but like seo taiji is rly a legend in s. Korea in genefal and he is one of the most succesful artists of all time there. before bts broke it a few years ago, he was the best selling korean artist for albums to ever to exist. Bts broke his sales record after decades.

I got into BTS in 2017 and this performance with Seo Taiji was the first live performance I ever saw of BTS's. I was familiar with Seo Taiji and the fact that he passed the torch to BTS and asked them to participate in his anniversary concert was what first made me really believe they were destined to be HUGE someday. So proud of them.

They performed a cover for this song a year or so before this concert, without Seo Taiji. JK can do his tone pretty on point honestly, and only RM and JH raps (RM did that scream on their cover, in his way tho), kinda like the trio Seo Taiji and the Boys 😅😅 Also the choreo goes hard, sadly is just 2 minutes or so...
@kimjaguar2 жыл бұрын
The screamer is neither a member of Bts nor Seotaiji himself. He is a featuring vocalist from a South Korean metal band. But I want to add that Seotaiji started his career as a bassist of Sinawe, a South Korean heavy metal band. He likes to put heavy guitar riffs in his songs.

Ha, so funny to see you meet Seo Taiji and BTS 👍😊🤞 I always this that N.O. (O R U L8 2? released in 2013) is completely the next generation of Classroom Idea, and it's clear why Seo TaiJi said his legacy belongs to BST or words to that effect. This was a 25th anniversary celebration concert for his band, and they all belong together. Despite their young ages, BTS were already producing mature critiques of their society and of their generation too. I suspect a lot of Koreans found that presumptuous of them at the time, but they were so not wrong. Seo TaiJi is pronounced Soh TaeJee though. [Tried to think of English/US words that rhyme with Tae I have some but I'm Scottish - best I can do is refer you to TarHyung's TeTe - it's the same word I guess 😊🤞.] In this video he was 42 ( I think they all sleep in vinegar because no way he looks that age!) I think that if anything, in the period between Classroom Idea (1994) and NO (2013), the Korean education system only became more rigid and more competitive : I don't think that has changed. Both commentaries on the society young people have to force themselves into seem to remain sadly necessary, if not more so now, when parents can buy a study BOX to close their child in - desk, chair, no windows, no noise - to study in without distractions. I had the usual prejudice about KPop - that, however skilled and talented the performers are, it is all vacuous and superficial, without any intellectual content or challenge. Then I watched and listened to BTS, and learned about their "mission statement", learned that everything they've done is meticulous and consistent with that, and was hooked, and here to stay. I think there are other bands who want to say something substantial, but I don't know of any who have been as consistent and determined as BTS.

Same I don't like Kpop at all Except BTS Because just like you said they are different, the way they use their music to open all the topics no one would dare to talk to about Really made me stan them They talk about a lot of taboo subjects, and their necks are on the line However they don't care, all they care is creating music that can resonate to their audience And I think that made them different They have passion on music and they work hard to improve

I've experienced Kpop since 2010 and it has been a ride! Just like most music, the general quality went up and since a few years I don't have to illegally download anymore :D (partly because of my financial position, but mostly because of the availability on streaming services and before that on google play). Although the view on kpop has changed immensely over the years thanks to BTS, the general view in my country is still quite negative and they ridicule the whole idea of kpop and that I listen to something outside of English. But that is generally the case when young women are fan off things :')

recommend U a song to make reaction. 'Regret of the Time'(2024Remaster ver.)-Seotaiji.kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqmof6qZe9t_adk N aespa is going to release Remake ver at 15 JAN. Seo Taiji is a musician who played an important role in K-pop, and it is no exaggeration to say that without him, there would have been no K-pop today. A former heavy metal band bassist has appeared in K-pop for the first time since his debut with idol group Seo Taiji and Boys, and is an artist respected by BTS members and all K-pop singers. so BTS also performed jointly at Seo Taiji's 25th anniversary concert. Then First, I hope you to watch his remaster version and react to the remake of aespa, which will be released on the 15th.
