5.9wkg for 44 minutes. Watch along and ride experience this climb at Tour de France cyclist speed! I'm aware that few people have ridden with a GoPro up this climb at this speed, so this is a chance for many to experience, POV, a speed that may be unattainable for them. I may not be THE FASTEST....but it's fast enough lol. Love ya'll, and thank you for watching!

Awesome effort. This is bringing back some awful memories from 2009 of getting to the first hairpin with heart rate at 172bpm and the world closing in on me. Three years later managed 54 minutes. It's no mean feat.

Nice climbing mate. Crazy to see the speed you can hold uphill. 32min faster than my time from September 2021. Just mindboggling to me. Kudos to Charlie too for her climb, and I'm sure she'll be faster next time, now she knows what to expect. I'm sure she can hold more than 2.5wkg for 75-90min next time you guys are in the area.

@@edlaverack They sure did. I can't wait to get back to the mountain. This year I'll be doing a few lesser climbs in Austria (Mayrhofen -> schlegeis, Mayrhofen -> Krimml and back, and of course the Innsbruck climb that's also in Zwift). I did a first few short climbs yesterday, and if I can keep the power below 240w and still manage to go forward I'm golden :)

Ed the best time is for Kuss with 39:21 (371w) his wight is 61 so 6,08w/kg, how is possible a difference higher than 4min with the same power than you?
@edlaverack2 жыл бұрын
Good question. I wasn’t at my normal climbing weight for this because of a recent bout of ill health. I was more likely closer to 65kg and therefor way off the pace of the fastest leaderboard times

Better than watching the TDF :-) . By the way , for a long time i have thought it would be nice if strava made some allowance for paused time within segments . They must be aware that some people will travel a very long way to ride a climb like this and have a very specific goal time , and perhaps never get another chance . So if they encounter traffic lights or whatever during there attempt , it's kind of a major disaster ! So strava could make allowances by not including paused time , but put an asterix next to the time to indicate a pause . Might save a lot of stress around the world for people chasing segments ! Obviously some would argue against the idea , but strava is not racing , and it would on occasion save some lives i imagine !

@Ed Laverack - nice video. I think all too easy for us mere mortals to not appreciate just how fast 6w/kg is up a climb and how long for. SO i guess the big question is...... will you keep the 6th Fastest time over the "Crono Course" after today? Will Bardett even keep the KOM?
