A quick descent on a public road with no brakes. I'm sure this guy is pretty handy with his track bike, but that seems like a recipe for an early grave

Considering very good good cyclists with very good brakes get killed all the time; I am inclined to agree with you.

@@jackglossop4859well, I can give you another mind set, a good cyclist with good brake can make them over confident, and when you have no real brake you will make your self over cautious to make carefull decision

How dangerous it is depends on the weight of the bike, it's wheels (rolling mass), gear ratio, rider weight, rider strength and rider skill. If you're using a heavy bike with heavy wheels and a massive gear ratio (like 58x13) and you're fat and have never ridden fixed before, then the chances of making it down a steep hill alive are slim.
