The pilot out of the window accident is real. The guy actually lived. It was caused by wrong sized bolts on the window panel. A flight attendant held the pilot's legs while the first officer landed the plane. It's an incredible story. Check out BA5390 flight.

From my own experience (I'm 2.05m/6'9'') size can be both an advantage and a disadvantage in rock climbing. Depending on how the route is set. Seeing that I'm very much a beginner climber though, for me it usually is an advantage because the routes I can do usually have enough holds that a person of any size could do them. I just skip a few.

I know the premise of the video is tongue in cheek, but I DO feel obligated to relay my experience as someone relatively new to climbing (I started 3 years ago). Climbers are genuinely mean. I first noticed when my wife and I went to be spectators at a bouldering competition at our local gym. We hadn’t been there long before I walked to another part of the gym and witnessed some of the women talking about my wife (who is NOT someone who gets very dolled up or wears very much makeup at all). They were saying things about how she must not be a very good climber because she “put on a face” and was wearing a brand that they didn’t recognize (her leggings were from costco). Apparently, having mascara and not owning the entire Patagonia fall line meant that she couldn’t possibly be a very good climber. Another time I read a post and subsequent comments on r/climbing on Reddit where climbers were openly talking about luring people they disagreed with politically to gyms where they could offer to belay the activists and then drop them. When I pointed out that climbing is built on trust and that we shouldn’t be purposely hurting ANYONE no matter how much we disagreed with them, I got downvoted so often that I couldn’t even post or comment in the subreddit anymore. There have been some incredible and wonderful people literally everywhere I go climbing. But I find more see-righteous pseudo-moralist weirdos than I ever came across in powerlifting and strongman.

Very few people sent any hate his way, and the autistic thing got, like, a couple of mentions (it really wasn’t the issue). You’ll notice that it hasn’t affected his subscriber count or the number of comments he’s getting on this video.
