That's awesome! Rainbow Rocket is legit hard and I say that as someone whose max outdoor grade is V11 and couldn't get close at all on it. It's definitely something you need to train for and it's awesome that your training actually paid off!

Paradoxically i think rainbow rocket is easier for gym rats than mainly outdoor climbers.
@Shrimpflation5 ай бұрын
@@TheBanana202 Exactly. Usually I climb V7 or V8 in my Gym and I also did Rainbow Rocket in less than 10 tries… For tall guys it is definitely more V10 (7C+). I would even downgrading it to V9 because time goes on and climbers learned to jump over the past few years.

yesss dude spread the word of the comfortable climbing shoes. I use to destroy my feet in undersized shoes and it sucks and does not make you better. now I wear appropriatly sized tc pros and I can literally wear them all day. I will never go back. I don’t know whether I just hadn’t noticed or it’s actually a new one, but your mic is sick, love the color scheme. Also, congrats on sending Rainbow Rocket! It was an epic send. Eric’s filmmaking and Emil’s coaching were fantastic, to say the least, but that send and your progression through the different dynos on the boulder were *chef’s kiss*.

Brandon, make a video about iceberg of climbing! You can put some tragic incidents in there as well as some not well known facts about popular climbers (for example I had no idea that Magnus purposely had eating disorder to lose weight). Also it can be pretty educational and historical if you put some rare facts about climbing there (anything from uncommon techniques to unknown, but significant climbers). Well just take some inspiration from popular iceberg videos. I couldn’t find any videos of that sort about climbing so I believe it would be very interesting. And you’re definitely a person to make something like this, you can make it work with your creativity🙏
@timbratten40495 ай бұрын
Some fact corrections (as I recall): you snuck in a V8 before the V11 and Colin was the only competitor to top Boulder 4. Also, if Colin would've latched onto the hold he was reaching for when fell on lead, he would've taken the bronze, so it was a nail-biter.

Shouldnt we make a new grading system for dynos specifically. Your first dyno that you barely have to reach for would be D0, and the hardest longes crimpblasting dyno that only Toby Segar could reach and only Shauna Coxey could dare to stick, would be a D10. Like rainbow rocket would be something like D6-D8 ish. And then people could actually explain what they did when they said "I climbed V11!".
