I love this franchise. I could watch this film a thousand times and still want to watch it a thousand more times. That established, I’m going to armchair quarter back here: I think Gondor was using the wrong ammo in their trebuchets. Pieces broken from the city were definitely convenient, but mostly fell flat. They squashed, what, about a dozen orcs or so? Hardly an efficient weapon. I would have thought that they would have a ready supply of stone spheres. Big granite bowling balls rolling through the ranks would have been way more effective. I could be wrong.

"Big granite bowling balls rolling through the ranks" That is hardly possible! Falling stone balls of this size would (at this speed) simply smash into the ground and leave a crater. There would be no "rolling" at all.
