Imagine being a hitting coach and having the absolute GALL to argue a call that the ump got correct.

Dusty Baker tends to be chill in his last few stops, from what I've seen, but it looked like he was tilting his head at Snitker's outburst, haha.

It's really too bad the "manager" doesn't manage his dugout. He should be ejected, too.

I’ve never seen the “leash list” before, thank you,
@RealRedPolitics Жыл бұрын
In the NFHS level, I give assistant coaches almost 0 leeway. The only person allowed to question an umpire's call is the head coach which is determined when they step into the batters box at the play meeting. A lot of times if the assistant is ejected, the head coach is either restricted to the dugout or ejected as well since he is responsible for his assistants.

This would be so awesome to see.

I don’t agree with the hierarchy of leeway. That wasn’t a thing 30 years ago. No matter what level you are, if you say something personal you’re ejected. In this case I don’t think he was ejected for arguing, I think it was the fact that he left his position to argue. Had he stayed in the dugout, he wouldn’t and shouldn’t have gotten ejected as long as he didn’t take it beyond the level of normal chirping.

Yes…because if it wasn’t a thing 30 years ago, it shouldn’t be a thing at all…

I thought we covered in 2021 that assistant coaches are to be seen and not heard. Greg Gibson drove that point home in a CHC-PIT game (2021 ejection 6 if I'm not mistaken).
@DJTexan Жыл бұрын
That level of hierarchy is crap. The reason he was ejected was because he left his position which was the dugout to argue. Had he stayed in the dugout and didn’t personally insult the umpire, then he most likely would’ve stayed in the game. In this case though I think the coach knew he couldn’t leave position and did it anyway because he wanted to be ejected due to the rain delay so he could make the postgame plans he had.

@@DJTexan wrong, but thanks for playing homophobic Big Tex. Bitch as a hitting coach and you are ejected no matter your position in the dugout.

Perhaps a team psychologist is needed. This is the top of the first inning. Wegner had not established his strike zone yet. Childish tantrum for no good reason. There’s never a good reason.
@James-py6kf Жыл бұрын
Wegner was on the plate for the Astros a week ago when the Astros lost 2-0..Ump scorecard said Wegner favored the other team by almost 2 runs. My guess is that game played a part in this.

This channel runs the Umpire Ejection Fantasy League. The ejection videos are boring sometimes, but covering all of them is a core part of the channel's programming.

Some ejections naturally create a Rules discussion. This video quotes Referee magazine in regard to what people get the most patience from an umpire.
@stevebabiak6997 Жыл бұрын
He had a prior commitment fir that time and expected the game to have been completed already by that time, not just getting started. So this way he can blame the umpire for his having to depart ;)

How about the Indians game 5/12 . 9th inning,? runner scored then kicks the ball. A runner advanced to third .
@rayray4192 Жыл бұрын
Did runner kick ball or did ball deflect off him?
@joepeters5852 Жыл бұрын
He didn't kick it intentionally. Plus, there wasn't a play to be made. He didn't hinder/impede anything cuz there was no play happening. This was covered by CCS.

What's with the pride flag colors in the text?
@jayschafer1760 Жыл бұрын
Those colors make the text easier to read against the normal green/brown of baseball fields that the text is laid on top of. Also, Lindsay isn't straight, and it's her video to edit as necessary, so few regular subscribers care if she uses colors from LGBTQ flags for the text.
