I've had this infection twice, my colon is clear but I have scarring in my colon for life and i have a high high chance to get it again. And when I had it I had to be quarantined for 2 weeks at a time. Flagyl antibiotics were the force against the disease, but if I take any other antibiotics I have an increased chance of getting it again which honestly sucks. The worst thing about getting once or twice is that you'll have this for the rest of your life. My case since I've had it twice, I gotta deal with the disease for the rest of my life. This disease is nothing to mess with, it's really really serious. It can cause terrible complications if left untreated. This messenge is a warning! Great video, nice and professional! I have stomach pain every day and diarrhea almost every morning. I don’t have it all day. Sometimes it’s more than once if I ate something bad. I know I have stomach problems but whenever I go to the doctor they just try to say I have acid reflux or ibs without actually testing anything.. it’s frustrating living with stomach pain everyday all day.

It's super difficult to get a fecal transplant. There are many hoops to jump through, and ins doesn't pay for it. If you can even find a doctor that will do it.

Hello, can acute use of prednisone and topical steroids cause a reduced immune state that may cause C. Diff to thrive?

@@bryantblalock4173Oh yes they do my friend. Ppl forget that your skin is AN ORGAN, therefore anything that you put on it is going to be absorbed into systemic circulation 😮

Mines feels like c diff. Antibiotics 3 years ago. And then I drank raw milk to cure. Bad mistake. Stomach went nuts. 1 year dairy free was a big help and going off gluten is helping also

How can stool transplantation be under study? It came out like 20 years ago.
@MedicalCentric
@MedicalCentric 4 ай бұрын
@pitch-darkpositivity Stool transplantation, or fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), has indeed been around for several decades, but research is ongoing to better understand and refine its applications. While its use in treating conditions like recurrent Clostridium difficile infection is well-established, researchers continue to study its efficacy and safety for other conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease and metabolic disorders. Ongoing studies aim to optimize techniques, understand long-term effects, and determine the best protocols for different patient populations. This ongoing research helps to ensure that treatments are as effective and safe as possible.

A well known sports commentator in Mexico just passed away from this disease, Andre Marin, only 52 years old, I've never even heard of this before and I really feel bad for him and his family, this shit is no joke...no pun intended 😢

@@marioguti9887 that’s exactly why I’m questioning why it’s still “under study”. While they are using up decades of time perfecting their craft and seeing if it’s “safe” millions of people are losing their lives. I’m sure their families and these patients wish they would have a little more compassion for people in need. My mother nearly lost her life this week.

2024, the year of my C-Diff. It has been ugly. Despite Vancomycin in early July, I am still sick.

@DOLRED I’m really sorry you’re still struggling with C. diff despite the treatment. It can be a long and challenging recovery, and it’s frustrating when things don’t improve as quickly as expected. C. diff infections can sometimes require multiple rounds of antibiotics or other treatments, like probiotics or fecal microbiota transplants, to help restore balance in the gut. It’s important to keep in touch with your healthcare provider about your ongoing symptoms to explore additional options and manage the condition. I hope you find relief soon, and please take care of yourself.

Well, I'd consider getting a fecal transplant.
