I like unique and wearable, too. Don’t like boring but I don’t have the outsized personality to wear wild and crazy pieces.

I love the “unique but wearable” goal! That is exactly how I look for accessories, too. Lately I have been very strict with myself to only buy pieces that I can wear on a day-to-day basis that are still fun and feel attractive.

Agree with you on the off the shoulder sweater-I had one and never wore it! I wore it once on a first date, but Decluttered it after the breakup lol

Haha! Perfect time to declutter it! ❤ they’re cute but sadly not the most practical 🥲

I don’t declutter much anymore because I really love and wear everything in my wardrobe now. My previous decluttering was mostly of too-big sizes, or uncomfortable items, usually because they contained synthetic fibers, itchy seams, etc. Now that my weight has finally stopped decreasing (I think), I have a better idea of my size, and I have become much more careful about choosing good, well-made natural-fiber clothes that won’t be so darn irritating to my skin, or make me overheat. One thing I never buy anymore is short-sleeve or sleeveless tops or dresses in warm winter fabrics like cashmere, which have been everywhere lately. If it’s cold enough for those fabrics, my arms are the first to get cold. I do love a lightweight wool for trousers, skirts and blazers, though; with a breathable lining, they can be worn year-round. I love wool, not just for its warmth, but for its breathability, drape and incredible resilience, it just doesn’t crease in normal wear. Silk, too, needs minimal care, a little steaming is all. I have many white and off-white tops, they might seem like dupes to some, but they vary in fabric, weave, style, sleeve-length, details, etc. and I love and wear them all. I don’t think I could ever have “too many”, they are my most-worn items. The same for collared Polo sweaters and tops, and contrast-trim items, these have always been some of my favorite styles, so why limit myself to one or two now that they’re finally widely available? They are both classics, they’ll never leave my wardrobe. I have a large wardrobe and that’s ok, I value selection and choice, minimalism isn’t for everyone, it’s only trendy.

You know your personal style so well, it's inspiring! Great video!

I tend to keep leather clothing and good tailored pieces, like blazers and coats, for many, many years. By keeping to fairly classic styles, they don’t date quickly at all and they always look and feel luxurious.

Couldn’t agree more! Tailored pieces are the same way for me ❤

I recommend dying the black items with a brown dye to warm it up if you have warm undertones. I personally have dark olive and espresso as my dark neutrals
@dagnolia60048 ай бұрын
@@SilSolo walmart has no brown dye today. i bought a dark purple as an experiment on an old pair of leggings and a "sleep" t shirt. i will keep looking for the brown!

You look wonderful in the red cardigan- definitely your color and lifts your complexion! Much better than the pastels on you!

knowing your style, your climate and your lifestyle is definitely key and you definitely know yours. I want to add re- chunky sweater: I live in Canada and own a few chunky sweaters. But honestly I also don't wear them all that much. They're more my go-to for working from home days and only if it's a Friday. But I find layering to be more effective than a chucky sweatesr and my work is much too formal for me to wear them that regularly. I prefer more fitted merino or cashmere sweaters.

I've found that pattern on everyday clothing, just isn't me. So I no longer buy it. Stripes and dots are okay though. I need higher contrast like you, so I have dark brown and a Camel colour jumper which work better than a mid brown which looks terrible on me. Some colours I pair with a colourful scarf to make the contrast better. You have really inspired me and I am really glad I follow you 😁😂 thanks for sharing your thoughts. At the end of the day we are trying our best to be more intentional ❤

Sales! I get sucked into buying things that I will never use because of the unbelievable price. It is never a bargain if you don’t use it.😕

Wow all the pieces you decluttered- the red sleeveless top and the black full sleeve cut out top are actually my dream clothing items that I am not able to find in the country that I live in. Would you possibly be open to selling them to me? You look really gorgeous in the red cardigan!

99% from Etsy :) I just search for what I have in mind and then they all pop up. Over time there are some sellers I go back to. I’m thinking about sharing a list soon ❤
