This was neat to see from a behind the scenes standpoint. I found it interesting how the devs would shift models in and out, and even use low rez models in between the parts that have the focus (final cut). I'm guessing that was optimization to squeeze every drop out of the aging (at the time) PS4 hardware, since it had to run well on the launch model as well. Thanks for sharing this!

I initially thought it was for performance reasons but then I started think that maybe it was just so they could get the camera angles they wanted without other models getting in the way.

Cloud being in a Honeyboy outfit during the dance is what should have happened in game. Andrea really doesn't seem like the type that'd let street clothes on stage.

@@seijin4426 what part sickens you? a single emoji doesn't really explain much. Is it the street clothes that bother you? his formal suit (which in my personal opinion he looks really good in) or the outfit he's changed into towards the end of the vid? The final outfit, yes I'd agree with your emoji. It looks fine on normal honeybee girls, but definitely not on Cloud. He is indeed classified as a "pretty boy" he does not look good at all in the Honeybee female 'uniform'.

This is really cool. Their dancing actually looks a little less goofy from this viewpoint. It’s still some pretty weird dance moves, in my opinion, but it definitely looks more planned this way.

But it's... not supposed to look "planned". These two characters had never even met before this scene. It actually doesn't make logical sense for them to be as in-sync as they are, considering they had never rehearsed this.

@@Crab380 Maybe during the rehearsal Cloud did more than just swing his sword in front of those 3 honeybee girls ? 😹 Anyway, I like that it's part of the joke like in Enchanted or in Cité de la Peur.

It's so awkward. But I think that kind of works. It took me back to the days when we'd have rallies in middle / high school and would have to watch dance routines. Not that the kids dancing were bad, but at distance and from a single point of view, this kind of routine can look weird.

I do hope that in part 3 we'll have something similar at the gold saucer. Not that the loveless scene wasn't beautiful or anything. But this kind of fun scene was trully missing :/

I think the real equivalent was the Junon march scene, but I totally agree with you, I need a fullblown dance minigame in Part 3! Maybe with some "rival dances", that's how I want the shodown between the Turks and the main group to go down, lol.
