I think it's nice that Remake and Rebirth seem to be striving to make Tifa and Cloud's relationship more balanced. In the original, it seemed to me that Cloud was a bit too wrapped up in himself and his own issues to be there for Tifa and she was the one carrying most of the emotional weight. However, what they're doing with the Remake trilogy feels like a course correction, and I like it. We see them supporting EACH OTHER with Cloud making an effort to be sensitive to Tifa's feelings and look out for her. And notably, we see this not JUST with Tifa, but with others as well such as Aerith and Barret. Sure, he's not the most eloquent or graceful about these things, but he tries, and that counts for a lot.

Cloud was going through alot as well to be fair arguably more then Tifa. Not to mention tifa had enough support from avalanche she's always had a support network that she can draw from.

@@thegameisrigged8788 I don't disagree, but it's hard for me to be invested in a romantic pairing when one is completely emotionally unavailable and the other is carrying all the emotional weight in the relationship. Even if Cloud's emotional unavailability made sense, it was hard for me to get behind them as a couple in the original game. I find them a lot more likable and easier to root for here.

@@supremeoverlorde2109spot on man. I love what they did with Tifa’s character so far. In the OG she didn’t actually have that much characterization. It felt like she was simply a plot device that was obviously incredibly important in the 3rd act. Everything that they’ve been building towards is going to make that moment even more impactful now.

1:55 Hearing Cloud yell gave ME flashbacks- It's a little thing but I love hearing the continuity of the sound team reusing Cloud's line from Crisis Core but interestingly it doesn't seem like Sephiroth is holding Jenova here. Probably just the game devs saving time by not getting a model for that but I like to be weird about details.
