Even as a level 83, I'm still using the basic machine gun for this, I love the stalwart, but without med armour pen, the basic machine gun is just better for brood commanders, and considering it takes forever to kill a bile titan with the heavy I just don't use it against bugs.

Yeah, level 117 and this is the first time I've touched the basic mg since my space cadet days. Now that we have the thermite grenade for heavies, you can actually use chaff support weapons. Pair that with crossbow for bike spewers and you have a very viable build. My one complaint is that the mag feels a bit short. I know the stalwart is supposed to be the reliable one, but no reason we can't buff it's ammo in proportion as well.

It all depends on your loadout, you have to compensate for what you are missing. Lvl 130 on cr10 I'm running eruptor/stalwart, with 500kg, railcannon, and like having gatling barrage, but you can change that to your liking, also the thermite nades. I almost always get the most kills. If you make the stalwart a primary, 80% of the players are going to be using it. Tell me I'm wrong

The mg strategem can take on armored bugs, spore towers, mow down hordes, its a beast. The stalwart can handle armor if you avoid the armor. It should just be a primary already.

Stalwart's thing is being a relatively versatile chaff-clearer since it has 250 ammo, adjustable fire rate, and most importantly over the other two machine guns being able to reload while on the move. In fuller auto mode (the 1150 rpm) the thing kills Alpha Commanders in short order and mulches Stalkers before they have the chance to realize they're low on health to run off and cloak, and being able to reload on the move means you are less likely to get ganged up on by bugs while you are reloading. If you're running Stalwart you should have had a Primary or Secondary to compensate for this already such as Dominator, Eruptor, Senator, Crossbow, or any of the DMRs except for Constitution (it'd be very funny to use Constitution though).

AH makes a big update every 2 months, and the last big update was the 60-day buffs. Only next month will we reach the next 60-day mark, which will actually be the first big update after Escalation of Freedom (which really was a bit of a bummer) with new content.

The most important for the game now is to give you a reason for logging in, a goal to achieve that advances your character (account), it needs something a person can work towards. Weapon customization, ammo customization, coloring system, head armor stat. New missions and biomes is a good idea but it will only last until you have played them and get bored of them like all the other missions and planets we have played on over a thousand times.. GIVE US SOMETHING TO WORK TOWARD on a personal level.

7:13 This is kinda the problem with live services that people want to play at all times, or that have amorphous content that isn't permanent. Jonathan Rogers from the Path of Exile devs did an interview with Legendary Drops the other day, where he said what I've been saying for a while...live services should focus on giving players amazing experiences, and reasons to come back, keeping the door open to experience new things at their leisure, rather than making them feeling like they need to stay online 24/7 fearful they'll miss something. I'd love to see some big milestones in Helldivers 2 create something of a replayable campaign to better provide a solid narrative, reviewable worldbuilding or even additional rewards for new players to fill out early loadouts easier. I greatly enjoy Helldivers, but being online for it constantly would be tiring.

Suggestion for everyone using any of the MGs. Switch the rate of fire to the fastest setting. Utilize controlled bursts and crouch if you need assistance with recoil. Its life changing.

The original MO was the first MG to kill 500M terminids hence the saltiness from a lot of the players and content creators as it is an impossible task in just 5 days; projected completion times were between 1-2 months. This morning they updated the MO to 50M which puts the MO in striking range over the next couple of days. The Companion App has the change as being hte result of a misplaced decimal and the Office of Weapons Efficacy has ordered a review of its decimal placement proceedures.

I personally have always preferred the Heavy Machine Gun over the other two. Setting the fire rate to minimum makes it controllable, while maxing it out allows it to eliminate a Hulk at point-blank, or even a tank if you hit the heat sink or engine vent.

Those MG's on point defense missions, in a full fire team with alternating reloads, absolutely shine on higher difficulties. Team firing on spore trees and shreiker nests is a blast too.

I think this is just to encourage players to try the machine gun family of weapons, as a lot of people get stuck using the same loadouts all the time, and that causes boredom long term. So these, alongside the "use of weapon X has been approved for this mission" has people trying new things and getting out of their comfort zones.

Behind the armor and weapons there looks like a door could be there. I'd love to have a room where we could store earned items. Like I want a gold fish! Lvl 130nhere, and the MG 43 is my favorite support weapon period. One guy in a group with it can basically completely control the medium and light enemies single handedly. Devestator and strides get melted, as well as hive guards and alpha commanders. This allows your teammates to deal with the occasional bile total, impair and charger. Or just throw a precision strike to cover your ass. The HMG is too big and clumsy for medium bot control, and the stalwart, while amazing, just lacks the firepower for those really pesky mediums.

Level 91 - 479 hours ( after work/laid off for winter player ) I absolutely love the Stalwart but I have been running the 500 kg the MG ( I love the mix of firepower and mobility it brings over the fire rate of the stalwart if it was a primary no doubt it would become my #1 primary ) supply pack with medic armour And I either choose a auto canon sentry or basic machine gun sentry depending on what the team runs with the experimental fusion booster.. when we’re not doing the major order with the machine guns you can almost always find me with a flamethrower or quasar canon

For example, collect crates of gifts for sick kids for Super Christmas and secure the start of transport ships with them. This major order really is what I've been asking for, they need to start asking people things who actually play the game, not sit on discord, reddit, or twitter all day. It will very much tell us, at the very least which MG people prefer for bugs. If I'm gonna be honest, the MG is the one I prefer as it does a good job being a middle ground with medium pen. Stalwart should be a primary and HMG needs some love. My big beef with these guns is how much harder they are to use than other supports and less useful they become as a result. To be honest. I don't have a bad feeling about the illuminates when they come out. On the light and they're either going to be as annoying to play as the bugs. On the worst end they're probably going to be just as annoying as they were in the first game or worse. Either way if that's the case then I'll probably play like three or four operations and then never play them again. In terms of content. Me and my buddies have been brainstorming so many new stratagems ideas that I could easily double the stratagem list. Weapon customization would be nice. Like you could choose your own caliber and then maybe magazine choices. And then so much more. But I'm thinking they need to add melee weapons. Blades. Elbowing is just not doing anything really. Since the start of the game I've been waiting for the LAVs APCs to come in. I want a 4x4 ATV LAV thats all I really want.

Stalwart is good to lets say level 6, machine gun excels at higher levels thanks to higher armor penetration.

All I want for christmas is a vehicle. Also the machine gun will win not because it’s the starting stratagem but because the Stalwart sucks because of the light armor pen, and the HMG doesn’t have enough bullets for more kills. If it was to kill medium targets HMG would win or just light targets Stalwart would win.

I think this MO may be useless like many before it, but I also think there may be chance that this MO may be used to decide what kind of weapon Armored Veicles will get, since there was some leaks that vehicles may come into game in future.

The mg would be the first, to finish as much as I love the stalwart. The only difference between two is One is better than the other based on the situation that you’re in.
