Im so happy Bruce is going over this case! I have never seen a judge tell a state prosecutor how to be a prosecutor and walk them thru how to do things like this judge. This seems like such a great example of blantent issues in our justice system...im not sure how this is not more compelling to more to people. This is on live tv, almost daily (with breaks, motions and full court schedules out) and the same issues of bias are repetitive and intentional. Love the channel!!! ❤

I’ve watched quite a bit of this trial, judge glandville is not neutral, he is not a good umpire. He actually calls the DA “my prosecutor” numerous times. He is acting as the head coach of the prosecution instead of an umpire calling balls and strikes. He is much more friendly to the prosecution and is on the line of unprofessional with every single defense attorney. I know he is former military, so he tries to run his courtroom as he would a disciplinary board in the army but the world is watching him give reason after reason for mistrial on appeal. The judge also allows the state more discretion in bending the rules of Brady and not following his orders related to turning over evidence than he does the defense. I think that’s why Steele finally lost it, his frustration has been boiling for quite some time. This judge will probably be reported to the review board before this trial is over.

Agree. If part of a song's lyrics are admitted as evidence then the full song and any accompanying music video should automatically be permitted to allow full context. I can understand the concern that an author's fiction could be used against them this requiring the entire book, series, and universe to be entered into evidence. Imagine the entire Fifty Shades series being read aloud to the Court and jury members so as to be entered into evidence to place the author's work into context 😨 As much as poking fun at criminals is enjoyable to watch you do, I enjoy and appreciate your analysis and critique of the lawyers' performances

I would like you can comment on the Defense Attorney Bawls on the Jennifer Crumbley trial: Defense's closing statement. Even though during the case she has groomed ( combing her hair, using oil,) herself right their in court, use of color flash card during the case, use of colorful boards to talk to the juror and some other funny/wierd things.

She also made a statement in court in front of the jury and victims families that something made her “want to k*ll herself” and my jaw dropped. Very odd presentation overall, or at least not how I’ve seen attorneys present themselves normally.

Explain what The Street Gang Act is. Years ago I lived in the worst area in my State. Back then, the police refused to even patrol the "neighborhood". The explanation was "why should we risk the lives of our officers. They kill each other for the same crimes we only arrest them for." Not all of us were in gangs. It was a series of unfortunate events that landed my friends and I in the house we rented. I've not heard of this Street Gangs Act/Crimes.

I am on the "you asshole" side. Totally different than a government perspective. Don't get out, don't think you're going to live in my house unless you can clean a bathroom, wash dishes, change a baby, shop and cook, and go to work. No princes or kings live in my house. Learn to pull your weight and sustain life...or go back where you belong. Prison will serve you three squares a day and I do not have to accept your phone call. Try harder.

Song lyrics can be used in a England, UK & Wales criminal court, as long as it is relevant to the case. So if I am up on a conspiracy to supply cocaine charge, and I rap about getting 'snow direct from Colombia'. Then that can be used in court to help prove the charge. Some people would call that 'self snitching.'

@CLR Bruce Rivers Yes, the lyrics are already in evidence during this hearing. Steele lost the first argument of keeping the lyrics out a while ago. Thug’s attorney is not arguing to just bring in the audio of the song, he’s arguing to bring in a video/audio recording of Thug on stage performing it live.

Authorities say YFN and the crew had been driving around a part of Atlanta dominated by a rival gang. Cops say on the night of the shooting ... the SUV "entered an oncoming lane of traffic and stopped on the left shoulder, allowing Adams and the front passenger of the vehicle, Ra'von Boyd, to fire multiple gunshots from assault rifle style firearms at people in the rival gang territory." Cops say another guy, Kevin Wright, sustained at least one gunshot wound in the shooting while Adams was shot in the head by return gunfire. He died but not before cops say "Adams was manually ejected from the vehicle a short distance away -- his body left [on] the street." audio of the 911 call a woman made in Atlanta last month when she saw a white SUV speeding by "with a man hanging out of the car." She says she eventually saw the man get shoved out onto the street. The witness told the operator the victim appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and she desperately tried to get an ambulance to the location because the man was "still trying to fight for his life." She remained on the scene while waiting for the ambulance, standing near the victim -- and said he was "taking his last breath" and he died moments later.

"Yes, I can!" My eyes went 😲. I've watched enough Bruce to know that ain't right. You do NOT speak to a judge like that. Actually, I was on a murder jury once. Long story short, the defense thought my mom was someone they might know (wasn't), but the judge called me this chambers to discuss. I'm very feisty, argumentative if annoyed, and you bet your ass I was polite, neutral and "yes, Sir." Self-preservation should tell us when we just need to behave. Edit: okay but now that we've seen it play out, he's right so..... how should you respond in this situation, when the judge IS wrong?
