@@bigballz4uA role model is someone who demonstrates positive qualities. Bruce is a perfect example of why we really need to drop the old-fashioned notion that swearing is somehow bad or immoral. I recall just before sentence was passed she said something to the effect of, “I do remember that Travis was conscious when I slit his throat” whereas she had been feigning memory loss regarding the crime; she Clearly did this to deliver a Last Horrendously Cruel blow to his already devastated family. PURE EVIL.
@arainaz10
@arainaz10 2 жыл бұрын
Yep, that was one of the last things Jodi said during her sentencing. And just before that, Travis's sister said in her victim impact statement that she prayed he died before that act so he did not have to feel the pain. Arias is pure evil.
@JonShade-fy2gm

She also said in this admission that she “remembered the gun was first.” I always thought the gunshot came first. Even Flores specifically said so in one of those 48 hour-type shows. They switched the order of which weapon came first because they were concerned that if they went gunshot first (what really happened), the defense would have a much better chance of proving self-defense. So I think this is one of the times Jodi actually told the truth.
@debgok

How can anyone sustain a gunshot wound to the head and then keep attacking? At the very least, it would have given her a chance to get away. As the medical examiner testified, the gunshot wound did not bleed out which indicates that his heart had stopped.

I watched this entire case with my Mom, we became so invested in it for some reason, just thinking about what she did to Travis still gives me chills but it did educate me on people like her, I've known a few in my life and the best thing to do is stay far away from them. My Mom was in the hospital at the end of the case and I'm glad she got to see the verdict before she died. I donated money to the Alexander Family in my Mom's name expressing sympathy to them and received a lovely letter from Travis's sister Samantha. That poor Family, 😢, this was the only time I can remember actively wishing for someone to get the death penalty. I hope each and every day of her life is miserable until the day she goes to hell.

I watched the trial too. Even though the prosecution got the win, I still believe she shot him in the head first. It only makes sense since she stole her Grandpa's gun. Because she used a missing cushion to hide the gun and muffle the sound, the gun jammed after the first shot. It was a small calibre hand gun. When he went to the mirror, she said she would go get help but then ran down to the kitchen and get the knife to finish him off. The ME changed his initial report to fit the States theory. I didn't like that.

As a general rule, and as a psychiatric nurse, I would say definitely don't date someone with bipolar disorder if you can help it. Your life will be very difficult, as well as possibly exciting and joyous. There will also be taking the high risk of passing this very debilitating disorder onto your children.

He continued having sex with her even after she slashed his tires a few times, slashed the tires of another woman he was interested in, broke into his house, etc.... He showed such poor judgement that I believe enraged Jody, especially when she found out he was taking another woman to Cancun. I can guarantee you they talked about that trip during their tryst on the last day of Travis' life! He didn't deserve to die, but he was using Jody for sex while he courted other women! Completely disrespectful!

He definitely played a part in his own demise. Could he have stopped it, yeah. But was he smart enough to see it coming? No. He was playing a game he thought he could win. But his opponent was willing to accept a draw as a win just to make sure he would lose. He didn’t deserve it, no, he definitely could’ve deterred it though.

If she had kept her mouth shut and lawyered up, the prosecution would have had to prove that the DNA was from the day that Travis died and not from previous times that Jody had been at his house. If she had only shot him and did not stab him, she would not have gotten bloody hand prints in his house. My understanding is that he crawled out of the shower after being stabbed but before being shot. If she had taken the camera and not left it in his washer, she could have disposed of it securely later. My sense is she has manipulated many stupid people in her life, thus empowering her to feel more intelligent than she is. Also, Travis should have stopped relations with her. It was leading her on and contributed to the heinous ending!

This was not Travis fault at all. This was that crazy bitch who felt entitled enough to someone she thought she could murder him and walk away free and fine because she’s a girl. Everyone is so stupid when it comes to digital forensics. When you 'delete' a file on a computer, phone or camera, it is not truly deleted. What happens is that the 'pointer' to the space that has the file is 'set to NULL'. You still have to use the device a lot to truly override the previous location's memory. Putting a camera through the washing machine is nothing. You have to completely destroy it to make sure it's destroyed. Crush it to a fine dust.

@@intothemindshaft Jody was not a traditional stalker, as even though he ended the relationship, he was still having sex with her and keeping this from his friends who would have disapproved. I believe it was the fact that he was still having sex with her that pushed her over the edge. I think she would have eventually gone away if he had ended the relationship cleanly.

I’m sorry, but males rarely end up dead at the hands of their female partners. It happens, but not nearly as often as it happens for women. Jodi meets all criteria for all on the Axis 2 spectrum. No jury will find me guilty - you can mark my words on that she said in the jail interview. Yet she was so much more obviously guilty - you can only take flirty bambi behaviours so much - all his friends thought she was creepy. Unfortunately being a 30 year old mormon man just wanted to have sex and of course he never would have expected this to have happened to him. We ALL need to be careful and pay more attention to those red flags. It is incredibly helpful to trust first instincts and not overthink it.

I had finished watching another video and KZbin automatically began playing this gorgeous, scenic montage of landscapes with a beautiful voice singing Oh Holy Night. Curious thing about this case… the defence would have had ample evidence to indicate prolonged emotional abuse from Travis. Not trying to mitigate Jodi’s evil. After watching the trial I'm pretty sure that Jodi shot Travis first. The bullet transverse his sinuses without touching his brain. Not only does that explain the spray of blood in the sink and bathroom counter, but it fits in with the kind of attack that Jodi would initiate, to incapacitate him first. I just can't see it happening the way that was reported in the media and at trial in which she first initiated a blitz attack on him and then after stabbing him repeatedly and cutting his throat shot him in the face as an afterthought.

Exactly, he's the prime example of "If you want to date a guy make sure no woman thinks she is girlfriend." Being played like that is horrible, especially when you have mental and/or abandonment issues. Murder is not an option, of course, but he contributed to the escalation and she wasn't bright enough to pull away from such a toxic guy that wouldn't make her official.
