After I played CPO for shts and giggles during spring break, something really weird happened to my Mac that I was playing on. The screen wouldn't turn on and I could not reset my Mac at all. It was stuck on this update password page and even after I changed the password, it would send me back to that page. I contacted Apple support and they told me I wasn't even supposed to be able to access the page that it was stuck on. It's weird he interacted with you yes, but club penguin came out in like 2005 which is only a couple years after you were born if you're 17. Making the game older than your sister. So if you think about it the people *actually* reliving their childhood, considering you're still a kid, are the people born around 95' who were 10 while playing when it first came out. I am 24 and started playing club penguin when it first came out. I have an account on CPO and CPR with my youngest sister and I don't think it's weird im on it, especially considering a ton of people on it are as old or older than me because the game is actually from 2005 even though people your age seem to think it's exlusively nostalgic for current 15-17 year olds. I don't want to reveal any information about me because I'm scared that the owners / admins will see it, This is an anonymous account that I opened and it's definitely not my name. So I used to play a lot of the private servers, but mostly Club penguin online and Rewritten I loved online so much and I decided to write down an appeal to be a designer there. I got accepted and I waited for them to tell me what to do But inside the discord server I noticed that there was this admin named Envy, he was a total jerk, we had those like teams or gangs or whatever going around and I was in the pizza team, we were like 8 people And he had the pirate team if I recall correctly, they were a lot of people. He abused his powers, banned people which he did not like, promised people a lot of gold in game just so they join the pirates and very much hated everyone who wasn't in his team. After I've seen how he acted I talked to my team's owner and we wanted to switch to a different club penguin, at this point I was already done with all this shit. It was stressful, all I wanted to do was play my childhood game. One day I saw that they removed me from being a moderator and when I asked them why, they ignored me, I left all of the servers and never came back. I wish there was a server that actually runs by good people. Until there is one like that I'm not going to play any server again.

Overall I agree but there are a few things to point out. First is that you say "why do you take a videogame so seriously that looks like this" and pointing out that because Club Penguin is meant mostly for children you can't take it that seriously, and that is just wrong in my opinion. Its like the same effect that happened to Minecraft and happens to Roblox, games that aren't that appealing for some people to the eye at first sight and are a lot more cartoony than other games, and a lot of people ends up thinking that that is reason enough to "not take it seriously" because they are meant to be played by childers blah blah etc.. but this is just not how it is, you can't change people's minds and make them not take something seriously just because of how they look or for who are those games meant to play by, people will take it seriously, other people won't, and thats about it, you cant brag and make fun of people for that, there is no such a thing as a limited age system for those games because anyone can play it regardless of who you are. Second is that you are putting every single community and staff member of every single Club Penguin pirate server in the same bag. Yes, there are some really shady, no-life, trash human beings out there that will do everything to win, but there a lot of other people that seriously put their effort and heart into keeping the game alive the best they can, not because of nostalgia, not because of competition or money, just because of the fun and love of it. Putting everyone and every single community and member in the same bag and practically saying "dont play Club Penguin at all unless its private" is just a senseless and a blind way to see it.

Just a heads up: you ip address cannot be used for specific location tracking, only overall (like only city accurate). The password/email part is scary tho, especially if you use the same password/email combo for important sites. Use a backup email and a random password and you can play any cpps without too much risk.

But CPR has an active player base and it has been growing bigger and bigger. And you forgot that CP online started first before CP shutting down so that gave it a head start. yeah we have known or should know the whole damn internet is not safe , using the same damn email and password for everything that once the passsword is leaked can cross trace from ur club penguin acc into ur email is obviously not safe, or using the internet without a VPN and anti virus protection, so why the sudden hype and diss on private servers that is not responsible for users surfing the internet unsafe themself cos their not educated or putting in the dough enough through whateve means on internet safety. to me honestly I don't care about the behind the scenes , club penguin online is the most best run site I've ever played. if club penguin online was having ppl pay for memberships and ppl are getting scammed. then of course its fucking not safe. for any site u go to, just make sure u know what ur getting urself into to not fall prey to revealing too personal info/ scams. when butthole money hungry copyright striking Disney took over club penguin they were removing more and more and more stuff for "non members" for members. but suddenly now I can access all these members stuff. FOR FREE. and a lot of bonus stuff I didn't even know existed when I left club penguin..do u know how exciting that is? and honestly a lot of us are returning for nostalgia sake so I find it frankly stupid to keep it "child friendly" . when also no kid wanna be stuck in some child friendly site. I actually loved club penguin back when I was 9 years old 10 years old, but the main reason I changed to like Gaia online, Habbo hotel, Imvu cos there was much more liberty in swearing and freedom of speech . and now the only annoying thing for me on club penguin online is that every time u swear there's a warning u gota enter and click okay. I was better off not knowing all the drama. man like he said I just wanted to relive my past. of course I had my concerns over safety but why what can they actually do? if you don't feel like risking your personal information getting in the wrong hands, making your own cpps or playing box critters, i have another solution, but it ain't free tho. step 1: get a ds or a 3ds or any sort of ds. step 2: get club penguin elite penguin force and/or club penguin herbert's revenge for the ds. step 3: proceed to play the game/s on your ds/any ds thingy. step 4: have a great time. obviously, don't buy a new ds if you already have one, that would be stupid. i don't know if the ds games are compatible with every ds model. for me, the games work in my 3ds xl, though i do need to blow into the cartridges once or twice to get it to work. so yes, do your research if you wanna get one. also, elite penguin force is better than herbert's revenge, but if you really want some nostalgia, herbert's revenge has some of the secret agent missions from the original club penguin. that should be everything, but feel free to ask if you have some questions. :)
