Located on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico with direct access to Clearwater Beach is where you will find Club Wyndham Clearwater Beach. Apart from the location, this property has at least one other thing going for it. Traffic circle also known across the world as a round about, is a proven concept that does reduce congestion over traffic lights. However, it requires the right size and drivers who know how to use it. Not sure clearwater fits either.

Lol.....The washer and dryer noise had me and my wife cracking up. Also, next time come into Clearwater the back way and you will see there is much less traffic. You will pass by the Sand Key Marriott on the left and the Sheridan on the right.

@@DestinationTimeshare Set you GPS to take you to Belleair Bluffs Florida.............TPA to Belleaire bluffs is about 30 minutes, BB to Clearwater beach maybe another 15 minutes ................the busses use these routes, rarely any traffic until you are actually in CB

I don't know if the property has changed in the last two years, but the last time I stayed there with my wife and extended family, it wasn't half as bad as you say. The location cannot be beat. When I first checked in, the people at the front were amazing. The valet took my car and away I went to enjoy the afternoon/evening as I awaited the rest of my party. Perhaps the fact that you aren't a Wyndham owner changed the procedure a little, but as a long time owner (16 years) I feel it is a great place to stay, and I hope to return perhaps as early as this weekend!

@@DestinationTimeshare Thanks for the response. The traffic wasn't much of a concern, as my wife and I live in South Florida. I understand your concerns about the pool, but honestly didn't even go in the water! Our favorite resort is either Ocean walk in Daytona, or Star Island in Orlando. Have you been to those?

@@Faborplumbs We were actually just at Ocean Walk a couple of weeks ago. It was a great resort and a great location. We would really like to visit again when it is warmer. We liked it much more than we expected to. We haven't been to Star Island. I saw some photos of a renovated unit there and they look really nice. We have only been to four Club Wyndham properties so far; Bonnet Creek, Kingstown Reef, Ocean Walk and Clearwater. Hoping to visit some more in the future.

@@DestinationTimeshare My father and I will be at OceanWalk in January for the Rolex 24. It is definitely better during warmer weather. The lazy river is awesome, as is the poolside bar. Plus, they have a pretty cool slide...Kingstown Reef is nice, but I'm kinda surprised that it's going to be a Worldmark resort exclusively early next year.

I've never stayed in the deluxe units at Clearwater because they don't seem like they're worth the money for what you get, especially when the Presidential is only 25% more money.The call box and block off issue is because of Covid. Normally, you pull up, check in and get your parking decal that automatically opens the gate. You don't go into the parking garage until after you're checked in. The pool situation does suck because of the location. There wasn't enough room to build a better one. I just swim in the pool in the AM and use the beach in the PM. Tampa/Clearwater weekday afternoon traffic is HELL. When I checked in at 2pm last time I was there, it only took me 20-25 mins to get there from the Tampa airport area. Tampa traffic just sucks in general.

Other than the noisy washing machine and lack of a real dining room, the deluxe wasn't all that bad. BUT, the Presidential 1Br we toured was fantastic. Sounds like a bargain at only 25% more. Good to know about the arrival and gate situation. It really wasn't hard once we knew what to do. It was just figuring out what to do that was our problem. Thanks for watching!

@@courtneyspencer6654 The 1BR presidential at Clearwater seemed huge. The 2BR Gulf Front, Gulf Side and Gulf View at Crystal Shores have amazing balconies. I would say the room itself at Clearwater was a little nicer, but they are probably pretty close. If comparing the resort itself (grounds and pool), well, Crystal Shores wins hands down.

​@@DestinationTimeshare I can tell by videos that Crystal Shores is the better resort. The benefit of the Clearwater resort is that there is so much to do within walking distance. Is it possible to exchange the 1 bedroom portion of a Grande vista lock off to get a room at Crystal Shores during the summer?

@@courtneyspencer6654 Not really. Crystal Shores is by far one of the hardest resorts in the Marriott system to trade in to. Anything is possible, but likely not probably. You would probably have to be willing to give up the entire 2BR at Grande Vista to get a week at Crystal Shores and most often only off season weeks show up. We did score a trade into there last September (during COVID) using a 2BR gold week at Grande Vista.

Plenty of ways into Cleawater Beach to avoid the traffic circle. The pool is a joke, it serves the hotel and Timeshare guests
