How to make my own DIY Spider Repellent Ingredients
15 drops of Lime (or lemon) Doterra Essential Oil
15 drops of Peppermint Doterra Essential Oil

In so many videos people seem to think they have to include pictures of the horrid things and I hate it! I've been using essential oils to get rid of spiders for years, but I've never tried lime for it. I've always used peppermint on cotton balls that I place around the house and outside on the patio. I love the idea of using the spray bottle instead of the cotton balls. You'd have to spray more often than I replace the cotton balls, but it just makes the house smell great anyway. I'm going to try this new spin on it! Thanks for sharing this!! I really enjoyed doing this collab with all of you ladies. Everyone has such awesome ideas! 💕

Here's a tip/ Since spiders like to hide, spray under furniture. Under any piece that isn't often moved. And not just baseboards but on the floor, where the heat comes out and don't forget the corners too!! Hope that helps! Peace out! xoxo

I've never found mint to be helpful for mice. They eat the mint from the garden, steal mint dental floss, and steal entire tubes of toothpaste to eat lol. Mint seems to attract every mouse within a ten-mile radius, regardless of which mint you use. My brother actually uses toothpaste to bait his mousetraps and it works every time. I just depend on my cats for the mice. As long as I can keep the eight-legged evil beasties out of my house, I'm good lol.

We like spiders here Drea. They keep the flies away in the summer. The only thing with essential oils is that they are not good for guinea pigs. Some are toxic, others induce upper respiratory infections.

Ingredients starts at 1:50 thank me later! 😅 oh lawd…it’s actually 2:34 - to spray bottle…2 cups of water, add 15 drops each of lime & peppermint essential oils. Not safe for cats. Ok for dogs.

I am terrified of spiders. Just as I was going to bed last night a massive one with hobnail boots and tattoos ran along the side of mattress and disappeared below it, I hid under my covers all night. I have just ordered the spray ingredients, I pray this works as I live alone and I am disabled so cannot get on the floor and move things around and trap it. I like this spray idea as I would not want to hurt it, fingers crossed it packs its bags. Thank you.

Will try! Wanna get those baseboards cleaner, put microfiber sweeper covers on your feet like socks. Swipe your mircofibered feet over baseboards and voila. I can't bend well so this helps me.

I sprayed the hell out of my apartment. Not thinking about it today because I grabbed my favorite blanket off my bed and there was a big black spider there. Last year I did a spray with orange oil and i also had orange air fresheners on all my widows and didn't see any of the little critters this year I haven't been able to get any orange air fresheners and there's loads of babies ones in my house even after spraying with the peppermint.oil I'll keep trying to get the orange oil and air fresheners .

Yaaaaassss mama I do the same I have my own DIY peppermint spray to spray my home as well because yes spiders do not like pepperment at all and I love the way it makes my house smell and I'm keeping those critters out. Ants don't like peppermint either just recently found that out so that might help in the kitchen as well. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for the tip! :) Live in a home built in 1860 and LOVE IT (because it's SOLID AS A ROCK) but every now and then, SPIDERS! Some tan-ish and some BLACK! Loathe most ALL insects (except ladybugs and butterflies) but the spiders MUST GO! :) By the way... any tips on how often the spray should be used? Once a week, month, etc... :) Looking forward to your reply SOON. :) Am placing an order on amazon in a few days and would LIKE to include these oils :) OR will regular citrus juice (of these two fruit, options), suffice? The peppermint essential oil in my "neck of the woods" cost about $15 PLUS right now for ONLY about 1.5 oz!

😂😂 you made me laugh out loud with the “ they never listen”. I was rambling when filming and ended out trimming out some things but for me I can’t deal with them like at all. When I was around 8, a spider egg hatched on a chair I was sitting on outside and 100’s of baby spiders crawled up my bare legs cause I had shorts on. I was rolling around and freaking trying to get them off and it seemed like an eternity. Finally my mom got me to the shower but I was hysterical 😩 So now even small spiders I can’t even kill unless they are in like the perfect position for me to whack them with a shoe

Hello thx for this video as I was looking for a recipe to kill spiders. Would it be safe to add these oils into your regular detergent when washing your bedding? Neat, Drea! Those spray tops can usually fit on glass acv bottles which may keep the EO from interacting with plastic. Just an idea if you have any around. I’ll bet it smells nice too. Thank you for sharing!

Great video if you don't want spiders in house! Does Citranella essential oils work against spiders? I started using Citranella essential oil to keep the Scottish midges away because the midges in scotland is by far the worst bitting flying insect ever and Citranella seems to work good against them. Spiders are annoying as I seem to get them in summer time. Peppermint doesn't work against mice as have tried it. The smell of peppermint is a refreshing smell that is pleasant and I do like peppermint tea. Thanks for the info in this video!

Why include the lemon / lime? If It can be omitted, does the omission lessen the effectiveness of the spray? I do have a cat, so I can't use it. I knew about spiders hating peppermint, but I didn't know about the citrus thing.
