Thanks for taking the time to put together such a solid video on this new setup! We're stoked to see what people are going to be getting out of the MK5 Supra with a proper manual transmission!!

Oh my gosh! So I purchased a 2020 launch GR.. which ended up having a slew of issues. So I Waited for the 2023 Manual. A91. After 5600 miles (7/10Th’s highway driving) and the clutch went out when I was in Michigan. (Please note I’ve owned a manual for the majority of my ‘driving life’.) Took it to Toyota in GR MI, they had my car for 4 months! They could not get parts, (clutch, slave/master etc) so I called ‘Clutch Masters’ and they sent me a new clutch built to fit my car. Toyota (MI) installed it. The ‘burnt clutch’ smell, never fully went away.. only when I would get on it..which is a seldom, once in a while, thing.. only then, does it stink to high heaven! The RPM’S began to fly off of the f*cking dashboard again, although, the car had no torc when this happens. After learning this to be one of the warning signs from the factory clutch, I soon realized another problem.. I push the clutch pedal all the way down with 2 feet, using every ounce of ‘umph’ I got. And the car failed to start, with the dashboard lights screaming, “DEPRESS THE CLUTCH!!” I WAS!! Over and over this happened, As I ended up in the middle of a very busy intersection, because I stalled it and I could not get the car to start, even though the clutch was 120% all the way depressed! I had to call my husband who is the car guy to meet me there. He lifted the clutch pedal upward and tried again. Thankfully, it started. so I made an appointment with Olathe Toyota, and dropped my car off three days ago today. They could not duplicate the problem so they said. Meanwhile, my husband and I, met up at this dealership and no sooner than we got there and tried to start my car… It failed to start, yet again screaming, “depress clutch!” We made sure that our service writer was a witness to this… He went into talk to the service manager by the name of Steve. Mr. Steve, and his tech evidently, have “blinders on“… Because the moment they learned I had an aftermarket clutch installed, they immediately assumed that all things problematic, Are indicative to an aftermarket clutch. However, the pedal… Is completely independent of the clutch itself! They refused to cover it under warranty for this reason. But if I were to take the clutch out and put it in Mr. Steve’s hand, the problem would still remain with the pedal.. they won’t even diagnose it. So after going back-and-forth with the tech and Mr. Steve manager, I finally relented and said OK I’ll take it somewhere else. We exchange the piece of shit, four-cylinder lender that they gave me with my car keys, ventured out to the back to pick up my car and to, hopefully- just get it home and park it safe; at least until I could find another dealer &/or shop that would consider looking at my car & diagnosing it accordingly. Once I got into my car and depressed the clutch, fluid started spewing from the pedal! This was brand new. This did not happen before I dropped it off a few days ago.! My husband went back in to talk to Mr. Steve manager, and explained to him that our frustrations have nothing to do with him personally, but explained that he is Toyota and my car is a Toyota. He explained about the fluid leaking and said this is new and my wife cannot drive her car home like this because it won’t make it with this fluid leaking from the pedal.. they agreed to keep it and look at it one more time, come, Monday! I cannot begin to explain the frustration. In the event, the dealership is ultimately going to continue to refuse any coverage under my warranty, and I end up having to pay out-of-pocket anyhow… Tell me, what would you do ? Please help.. ~Blue

Awesome video! This is quality content. Your channel is extremely underrated. I'm looking forward to future content on this car. Given your last video you hit close to 600wtq with your custom tune, was the clutch slipping on the dyno ? If so, what power level did you notice the slipping at?

Say someone wanted to go with a full 700+whp build, would you then still need to build the trans on these manual supras to handle the power?
