are the main clutch springs behind that clutch basket that the plates sit in? does it just pull off? many thanks

does it matter which way the engine plates go in ? I've noticed that the one side is rounded @ the edge and the other side not.

Great video, If my clutch lever is biting right out, and getting it into gear is a right clunk, and to get it out of gear into Neutral needs revs, would you say this can all be adjusted in the cable? Or is it likely my clutch plates need replacing?

If it needs a rev to come out of 1st into neutral, I would say don’t worry about it, it’s the nature of the bike and the age of it. The clunk into gear is chareristic of the bike, being a single sided swing arm, it’s more noticeable and defo more noteicablw if you have rode bikes from more recent years

As for the bite being right out, I would say do the plates. Yiu would be very surprised just a mill of wear would make to the feel.

Hey, cheers for the quick reply, yeah all my other bikes don't do that, and had the bike for many years, its always done it, just wondered if I could make it a bit nicer, reckon the clutch hasn't been done in all the years ive owned it :-) so thats 20 years then, I reckon its paid its due.... :-)

@gycionas16 it depends what part of the bike you look at. the tank is the original colour scheme which is OEM NC30 the actual bodywork is OEM NC30 with NC35 colour scheme

with this clutch there are no traditional springs. it has diaphragm springs which are the large washer shaped.
