The same thing happened to me with my father. When I was dreaming about him (25 years ago) he had a massive heart attack and died. Actually,I saw The movie Coal Miner’s Daughter(based on Loretta Lynn‘s life) with my dad when I was just 12. I recall him crying several times during the movie. He later told me her upbringing reminded him so much of his,growing up in the dust bowl in Guthrie,Oklahoma during The Great Depression.

What a wonderful Mother to hang onto her babies when Doo didn't come home. Because she grew up poor she knew what to do to survive, and how to keep her babies from starving. Thank God for Mr. Burley who paid for the Zero Label for Loretta. People fell in love with Loretta Lynn because of her truthfulness. It was so sad that it had to go to court but Loretta was being mismanaged by the Wilbur brother s. Sad to say buy I don t think that Doolittle gave her the love and support that Loretta deserved until he saw how successful and loved that she became but he did get her out of Butcher Holler and Loretta always said if he hasn t have taken her outa there and bought her a guitar that she wouldn't be who she is. Despite all of the heartaches Loretta loved Doolittle with all of her heart and he finally loved her the way she wanted. Just sad it took him so long to realize what a special lady that Loretta was. He became a good husband in the later years and they had time to build good memories before he became sick.

Loretta is such a beautiful Lady in every sense of the word... I admire her courage, strength and her musical ability. Wow, her husband knew she was exceptional. I’m glad he pushed her into the spotlight and then she had the opportunity to be friends with Patsy Cline, Wow I believe God gave her many talents and gifts to balance her life. I still pray for her as my mother had idolized her so I was blessed to see her with my mom, it was sooo worth it. 🤘🏽💕💫🌟😇

How many 18 year olds today when left alone in a cabin in the woods, would be smart enough to trap animals & pick wild greens to feed their 4 children ? Loretta Lynn's kids survived because of her knowledge for 2 weeks. Today the husband would have been charged with abandonment & mom maybe with child abuse, but she saved their lives !

Mine. My kids know how to identify at least a few basics like dandelion, purslane, plantain and mustards now. I’ve also made them learn how to cook a meal. How to navigate the kitchen. How to clean so nobody dies or 💩themselves from being food poisoned. I understand their peers will probably drop dead from salmonella poisoning when they attempt to cook in their homes for the first time at 30 or how ever middle aged they have to be now to finally buy one. They eat out of vending machines so much it’s sad.

@donaholmes73835 жыл бұрын
He pretended to be. He'd drive around from town to town and set up little gigs for her to sing at so he could buy his next bottle of whiskey and could get himself some dinner. He publicized her more for his income then for hers. It's a shame she had to marry such a dirtbag and at such a very young gentle age. He treated her like a possession not a wife and then went out and had fun with all the girls he could get his paws on. It's heartbreaking to know that she was married at 13 because in no way could she have been ready for that responsibility or the assault her body took by him the night they were married. Well, I'm he got his money and he had his fun as long as he kept her singing. He cared more about the opry then he did about his wife and all those children. I love Loretta. I love her music and I love her spunk and I do believe that anytime he hit her once she hit him back twice. She's a beautiful woman who I will always remember ❤️
