I used to go to work very early in the morning due to the distance from my place to office. I had to leave house at 5AM. What I did to make my breakfast was cook rice with ricecooker at night and make fried rice the next morning if I want to have a big breakfast. Or toast some bread in the toaster in the morning or prepare the ingredients needed at night to make smoothies the next morning. Or just skip breakfast and eat lunch in the cafetaria. Its really easy. I never consider ready-to-eat meals.

Sad to say, most of the ready meals are lack of veg. So for those who rely on ready meal soon or later will have issues with their daily veg intake.

The one question unaddressed: packaging and its potential effects on health. Does the plastic leach into the food in all the different preservation and re-heating processes?

esselle do you really think they wouldn’t used food safe plastic? It is fairly basic science on how plastics work to achieve this.

They would use temperature safe plastic containers for sure. But don't reuse them as they are only for one time use. As in it can take 1 full blast of heat and the plastic content should not escape. Imagine the lawsuit if someone died cause they ate plastic.

i dont think ready to eat meals are intended to be a 3 times a day, 7 days a week thing. but as the show said, Having a "Home cooked Mutton Curry/Chicken Curry" and a Ready to Eat, Pasta dish. the amount of fats in the fresh dish can out weigh all those "additives" and such in the healthier ready to eat dish also. for busy people, i think another alternative is to Opt for Meals that need Low prep times, like "Overnight soaked Oats", or cooking more on weekends, then freezing the extra portions, for Mondays and Tuesdays, to be reheated, is still better than buying a "Ready to Eat" Package of Meal. and cheaper also.

It’s amazing how difficult people assume that cooking is! A lot of these young people have no idea how to use an oven, however a conventional oven is like the original easy meal preparation secret! Today I literally diced up a couple potatoes and carrots and brussels sprouts. Then, mixed them in a bowl with some garlic, salt, pepper and olive oil. Then I took a piece of fresh salmon, melted some butter in the microwave with a little minced garlic and threw it ALL in the oven and in 30 minutes had the absolute BEST home cooked meal (FROM SCRATCH!) freakin imaginable!!! IT’S NOT THAT HARD!!! I do it EVERY NIGHT too and I work a full time job! Kids these days just need to be taught, that’s all. AND after eating the meal I had tonight, NO ONE would touch another microwave meal again! Even including the dishes afterwards, it took 10 minutes!!! The half hour doesn’t even count cuz you can do something else while it’s in the oven. I took a shower while it was cooking. Just learn to use an oven. It’s absolutely LIFE CHANGING!!!

@@emmanuelwongnsftech8333 there are plenty of scientists and research that shows how bad microwaving food can damage a person's health. Take the water experiment for example. Harvard just proves itself unworthy based on what u claim. Perception is a Deception. U choose what u want to beLIEve. Go ahead and swallow all your microwave foods for the rest of your life, it's your body not mine. U are discrediting those with health concerns and waving the 'Harvard' flag. SOPHILOSOFIA19 “perception is a deception” I can use that against your claims? It’s not just Harvard, I’m just using Harvard due to it’s recognition as a reliable, accurate source and highly advanced research that it’s able to conduct. Most of the claims disputing this are not from scientists but rather uneducated people on the matter still harping and believing in a thought and placebo ingrained due to the unhealthiness of TV dinners back then ( loads of preservatives and whatnot) idk about you but if I can’t believe scientists I might as well say that nothing is believable. I speak science and logic? You say you speak facts? Sure you do, you speak facts that you believe without reputable backing. Stop believing in what your mum told you when you’re 5 or something concocted by conspiracy theorists who claim to be scientists with no recognizable provenance

@@emmanuelwongnsftech8333 the term conspiracy theorist was created by the CIA against anyone who questions the system. You sound like a typical overt Narcissist with zero Morale, No rationale, and most likely a sociopath too. Go on then all you Zombie sheeple can microwave everything you consume. Have you yourself done the experiment and tested water that was microwaved and then try growing and plant with that microwaved water? Because I have. I don't believe in the lies the powers that were want you to beLIEve because I have done that experiment myself and the results were loathsome. Not only did the plant mutate, it also died. I dare u to try it yourself. My entire family have thrown out the Microwave from our home for more than 10 years. I only steam my foods if it requires reheating but mostly eat clean. If theres a will, theres a way. Hue-beings were never designed to consume that way. Do your own research, bigot. Going so low as to picking on a 5 year old mommy story goes to show at what level your brain is actually functioning. How pathetic and sad. Attacking me like a disgruntled infant is clearly your way of handling things in life. Why, is it because those who read my comment may STOP purchasing the RTE microwavable foods and my one comment can KILL an entire 'money churning' industry? Thanks for proving to me that the TRUTH shall Always Prevail. Amen! Everyone who's reading this, GET RID OF YOUR MICROWAVES FOR YOUR OWN SAKE!! 😘

Wait, fat from coconut is unhealthy? I thought plant fats, such as coconut, avocado, Dorian, etc, were good for you ( as long as you eat a balanced diet).
@shuwenwen
@shuwenwen 4 жыл бұрын
Oskar Ngo coconut is high in saturated fat (also found in meats) which could potentially lead to high blood cholesterol. Avocado’s fat is mainly made up of oleic acid, which is also present in olive oil. Oleic acid is what makes avocado a healthy fat. Hence ultimately it isn’t just the source of fat that matters but also the type of fat

What ? I mean: plants don’t have endocrine/nervous system; so their “fats” shouldn’t affect us in the negative way as animal fats do. But I may be wrong.
@kimmulakshmi
@kimmulakshmi 4 жыл бұрын
@@oskarngo9138 Who said they are any different??? Vegetables or meat, the fats are different. Now take animal fat, each fat content is different from one another. Like fish has the lowest fat content but pork has the utterly highest ratings in "unhealthy fats", then comes lamb, then comes beef & finally chicken comes in last. For vegetables, it's just the same as eating avocados (pork level of unhealthy "fats"). The only thing is to eat certain foods once a while, or cook them in a healthier versions.

21:48 but don't diabetics need to cut down empty/refined carbs so they have to take more of their calories from proteins and healthy fats than carbs (coz ultimately they want to reduce their blood GLUCOSE level). So how does lowering the sodium benefit 🤔? I'm guessing sodium and saturated fat mainly help control obesity but otherwise they don't do much for controlling diabetes. There's even a video talking about a study that concluded that saturated fats may not effect diabetes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4jWqaicmNetla8 I think there were even some studies that sodium may not be linked to high blood pressure but I'm not sure about that. I think those studies suggested it may be more about potassium. Oh found a video, so basically increasing potassium is more important than lowering sodium for maintaining blood pressure.
