They are not really in competition, the Chinese version of starlink will be heavily censored while starlink is not. Countries that want censorship to control their people will gravitate towards the Chinese product, while countries that want a free and open internet will choose Starlink. SpaceX is far ahead in terms of rapid innovation, fast satellite manufacturing, iterative development, problem-solving and turning ambitious theories into reality. When Starship launches Starlink V3, China will struggle to keep up as such advancement can only be achieved using a reusable super heavy-lift rocket like Starship
