I was recently in shoe shop and tried CF4s. They felt like nothing else. I don't run, but those shoes feel instantly super comfy and they kinda make your feet roll forward, making walking easier. I tried so many shoes recently and these bad boys left the strongest impression. The worst impression was from some Nike Airs (maybe Monarchs? Nike's naming scheme is absolute garbage). I know absolutely nothing about their history, but they are hideous, really stiff and not very comfy while being heavy. Nike's own Revo 7s are actually much nicer.

I have multiple On shoes and as a competitive runner I’d say there are better options. Sure they look nice on feet but their image overall surrounds the ability to wear shoes for athletic purposes and combine them with everyday lifestyle. That being said, On created the On Athletics Club about a year ago based in Colorado. This group is coached by the famous and long known runner Dathan Ritzenhein. The OAC is a profesional running team that recruited top collegiate male runners and got a solid team together. Their womens team is a mix of post collegiate and recent grads. They ran fast times and qualified their top athletes to the Olympics this past year. They make On shoes very marketable by running fast intervals in training with shoes like the On Cloudflow and their carbon fiber racing shoe the On Cloudboom Echo. Not to mention their clothing, expensive as well. Great company though.

I discovered these shoes by my co-worker coming in wearing them and noticed how clean, modern, and comfortable they looked. She swore by them and I saved up enough money to get my first pair. They just came in the mail and I can't wait to use them. I'm a single mom with a toddler and I would usually never purchase shoes this expensive, but I'm so glad I pulled the trigger and did it. The story behind the brand is also beautiful. ❤️

Dont wear it all the time, i did and i believe that my feet became so weak i cant wear any other shoe now. I bought other and my feet just hurts when i use it, never happend before. The problem is that they are too suportive and your feet muscles just became loose and weak. If you wear it for few months you will see yourself.

The main reason this company has a valuation of over $7 billion is the shoes are made in Asia, Vietnam I think. They should take a pay cut and have the shoes designed & produced in Switzerland. It would be more marketable in my opinion. Another example of Globalism that doesn't help the middle class in Switzerland. Same is true of Breitling, Rolex, and other Swiss High end watches where the parts come from China and other countries where they're cheaper to produce and just assembled in Switzerland. I think Patek Philippe is the only Swiss watch manufacturer where all the parts come from Switzerland and the watches are assembled there too.

That's true, they are very soft (stiff where it matters) and roll nicely forward. But IMO at this point there is Adidas 4DFWD line and they have some crazy discounts like gen 2s going for like 70 dollars. They also look interesting and seemingly do something like Ons, but differently.

I bought two different pairs. They look unique, but that’s about it. One pair was done in about a year. The heel lost almost all of its cushioning and the liner inside the shoe did not last well. Looking back, the problem with the cushioning layer should have been expected. When holes are made, the structure is compromised. It is simply not the same strength compared to an intact piece. My goto shoe is Nike’s Zoom Pegasus. Way better than these On’s while costing 50 dollars less. Don’t just make shoes look cool. Make them last as well. Until that happens, I won’t be spending my money on these overpriced sneakers.

All those who, like me, are into barefoot shoes or Vibram Fivefingers know that men's feet have ran barefoot for 200,000 years. And just after WWII bizarre "sport" shoes with thick soles and heels have become mainstream. They do more harm than good and are basically something that marketing imposed on us consumers. Even the Olympic games were ran with minimalist shoes for decades. It's all trash that we buy and use because we're bombarded by advertisement

@@14onyx cushioned shoes let you slam the feet on the ground at wrong angle: as a result, knees receive unneeded stress. when you walk or even more when you run barefoot, you are more "careful" with your gait and never land directly on the ball of your heel, butyou land flat, on the "meatier" part of your foot, where the skin naturally hardens if you walk barefoot most of the time

This whole company is a scam. I noticed every time their founder speaks, their "valuation" increases. Their sneakers are average at best while charging you a premium price. It looks cool and all that but it is not comfortable. I tried 3 models of ON, all expensive upper tier ones, ZERO CUSHION. The real reason why the outsole is hallow out, is because less material, equals more profit for them. If you want a sneaker where you can feel every small rock or sand on the streets of NYC and have knee pains, ON might be for you.

Your comment is very helpful to me. I wear running shoes for comfort and cushioning as I stand for long hours on hard surfaces. I have been tempted by them but their are other mainstream brands that offer max cushioning for a similar price. Nike, Adidas, puma, and even Skechers have their own tech which makes it competitive market.
