that one tv in the background which was showing an aquarium, I thought it was a real aquarium with it looking all 3d and all. When the aquarium changed to another image I was like......saywhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!!!!! O_O. Tv tech is truly crazy these days. That 8K OLED looked insane. I can only imagine how it looks in real life. I kind of feel bad for OLED because if Samsung finds a way to bring mico-led to market quickly and affordable enough then OLED is DOOMED unless LG finds a way to solve the burn-in/longevity problems.

Please just give us a smaller sized OLED TVs this year. 40-50" OLED TVs is all I (and a lot of consumers) want! I don't even care if it costs as much or more than a 55" OLED TV, I need one in my bedroom damnit!

OLED is for the premium market, who are not buying sub-55" screens in 2018. That will not happen until OLED is a primary architecture for the casual market, which actually after Samsung's event with the MicroLED, may never happen. Don't hold your breath. Intriguingly, if Samsung keeps the mLED modular, you can make them as big as you want. They're showing 5"x5" tiles in the implementation they're showing that you just put together however you want. EL-QLED>MicroLED>OLED>LCD.

QLED isn't better than OLED, just compare a Samsung QLED and a LG OLED, the LG is way better. We will see what happens with MicroLED, but Samsung said the same than last year with QLED, so probably it won't be better than OLED

Love LG’s screens, only thing I hate about them is their hardware. They put 3 HDMI, 2 USB, 3.5 jack no audio out out or input. Sony and Samsung has it all though. But their screens are not as refined

A 50mm radius is much smaller than the size you indicated with your hands... 50mm is about 2 inches... which I highly doubt that's the radius rolled up. 150mm seems more accurate. Impressive TV it is, the flexible aspect ratio and the audio modus are awesome... I would've liked to see the mechanics, a shame you aren't allowed to show that.

The acoustic screen was already done by Sony and sold in 2016 as the A1E, which uses an OLED panel from LG Display. They put several screens together to make a modular display. Cool, had it not been for Sony CLEDIS and Samsung CinemaScreen the last few years, and completely minimized by Samsung's 146 inch modular MicroLED just yesterday. The bezels on the Samsung are actually invisible unless you get right up on the screen. The roll-up OLED? REALLY cool, however. The other stuff they're showing has just either been done by others or been outdone this year. And, yes, MicroLED>OLED, assuming the ancillary aspects of a consumer market microLED have actually been cracked by Samsung Display (ie- scalability, reliability, and even cost). I want to be clear that I think OLED is the sh... Right now. But gimme some self-emmissive, massive color gamut and volume, super bright, image-retention free HDR sauce with MicroLED or the holy grail EL-QLED. Lesson over.
