A great word salad of accountability and logic avoidance, but the fundamental question not asked is: Who would have to obey 'laws' passed by a 'Maori Parliament'?
@MaryAda-wj3dy4 ай бұрын
Who would want to follow their contrived laws. Certainly not me
@Pastaaa2044 ай бұрын
A Maori parliament would impact Maori, I think we should have the option given it was promised to us as per te tiriti - it's not my fault the English version is not a correct or true translation in its entirety nor is it Maori responsibility to change the mindset of others who refuse to see the intentional deception. Secondly I would assume that others that wanted to be apart of it should be free to even if they aren't Maori. I would like a Maori parliament that was free of te pati Maori and their kuapapa. It's rather tiresome considering Maori contribute to our tax system but we have to prove our worth, in our own system we won't have to fight for the same rights that others take for granted. I believe everyone that is okay with the current parliament set up are free to stay, when we say a Maori parliament we don't want to force others that are happy W the current system they're under and it works for them and their whanau to jump on our ship. If it works for you, it simply just does and you won't see any need for this. Coming from a small rural town like wairoa, I can see the benefit for this. I'm unsure on the benefit it would have for bigger cities, but small rural isolated towns would hugely benefit from it in my opinion. With a Maori parliament it's more likely we can actually go to the source of our issue as opposed to being thwarted and ignored and having our funding and resources funneled out to bigger cities while our towns stay impoverished. My question to you: why does the majority get irked about the prospect of a Maori parliament and why do they think it's going to impact them if they don't intend on jumping on the kaupapa and they aren't maori. It's very confusing.

Though Sami live all over the region, their homeland is the North. Their population is relatively small. Maori on the other hand want tino rangatiratanga through the entirety of NZ. While the designs may be somewhat traditional, it wasnt tattoed traditionally. The moko kauae is largely just for looks these days. The lines arent as nice and neat when done traditionally. Maaori historically had a unique tattoo style, where they wouldn't just lay the ink under the skin, but rather they developed a chisel that would actually leave the individual with deep groves that scarred skin. They didn't have to do it like that, many polynesian societies at the time layed the ink just under the skin, rather than creating the deep groves.

I think our leaders in TPM are lacking pragmatism & experience. Labour has its faults but they are astute and more realistic about achieving policies ..... More smoking hungi. Says her and Rawiri Biden represent 1million of the population... 84% of people who identified as Maori did not vote for these representatives... Free Mackers, fuel vouchers, Warrior tickets and a assisted "fill a supermarket trolley without paying" did not entice.. More word salad

Well done Jack, hard questions to keep Debbie accountable! And she did a marvellous job at speaking up on her values and beliefs. Glad she’s not wasting time on people that aren’t interested in honouring Te Tiriti ✊🏽

Debbie and Rawiri are my favorite leaders of TPM since it first started, keep up the great work guys! "Lets take back our country!",

@@MaryAda-wj3dy NZ belongs to the crown while Aotearoa belongs to Maori and other immigrants that wish to join us. Our country was established back in 1835 so we have every legal right to separate our political, economic and spiritual institutions, this isn't arrogance, it's fighting for what we believe in!

@@MaoriWithAttitude Shame you are about 3% of the voting population. Real shame.

She is right 100%. We all know what's happened so far and the negative effects that recent policies will have. Literally a mix of Pocahontas and the Avatar movie happened here with a terrible outcome for original inhabitants! ....and we know Maori weren't the scavenger tyrants in this story either

What planet were you born on. Debbie is delusional and tells porkies. Not quite sure what she's on or about.

Can someone tell this wahine that the Māori aren’t indigenous to NZ. They were settlers just like the colonisers of this country. NZ 1st
