A look at the Coachman Caravans 2018 range: Vision, Pastiche, and VIP. Gone is the Laser Range, which is now incorporated into the VIP range. The quality built in to these stylish caravans is simply astounding.

They are beautiful, elegant and stylish units. I wish we had these for sale in the US. They are classy alternatives to palm tree and faux leather clad North American models which seem to saturate the market. Coachman designs are very appealing for the exterior and interiors. Nice work. Given the build parameters to allow living in the coach such as proper insulation, perhaps a larger fridge (but not a deal breaker) perhaps solar pre-wiring the value is greatly enhanced as the ability to use the coach for extended periods becomes possible. This also helps re-sale value down the line.

I really liked the bathrooms in all of them. The VIP range was my favorite. The sunroofs were a lovely size. Too bad about the built in microwaves. I would never use one and the space could be put to better use. Again, thank you for filming all of these. Such a treat.

After reading some of the comments I have to say that the workmanship of these English models is much better in construction than what I have seen in the US. If they don't leak in Europe, then they may not leak here. I still love the way this RV looks and functions.

We have one of the last 560 vip with central gas locker cupboard which means 40kg of gas is distributed evenly over the axle and is fairly well protected in the event of a collision. I had a look in one of the new coachman caravans with side lockers and there isn't an awful lot of room in there.

Nicely done sir, straight forward no nonsense reviews. Built in microwaves sound expensive to repair or replace. I really don't like the current trend for massive roof lights and windows. As window seals are often the source of leaks it seems to be asking for trouble.

These models are nice! I also enjoyed the host & tour. Very informative. But, I am hesitant of all the windows as well as the sun/moon roofs. Lots of beautiful sunshine, I agree, but too much a possibility of leaks, not to mention vandalism/robbery through/in/out windows. 😱 Love the bathrooms & shower! The upholstery in living area, beautiful. Wood cabinetry very nice too.

Been waiting for you to post this, Andrew! Coachman make a very classy, stylish caravan, the pleasing design is one thing that makes them stand out from the rest. However, the new VIP has lost it's automotive styling, roof rails, and most importantly large front locker. I'd never keep the Wastemaster in there! Classy editing.

Thanks Simon! Yes, I also liked the automotive styling of the outgoing VIP but I guess Coachman wants to make it a little less imposing and possibly more elegant? It will be interesting to see how people react in general, but I think Coachman caravans sell themselves.

Very nice. The challenge is, unlike with real "van life", one must park these in an RV park with other roobs. I find "stealth van" life more compelling.

Have had coachmans for the past 15 years. Nice vans. our 2016 model has a few issues with trim falling off though.

My husband and I think they're beautiful, and would love one! I guess they're not available in the US, so we're looking towards an Oliver. US people might want to take a look at Oliver. The quality looks fantastic! However, the biggest one is, I think, around 50,000

Ok,,,,love the new decor,,,the color does not compete with the outdoors, likey! Love the new stoves! My chef husband could really serve me wonderful dinners,,,but,,,wait! Those dinky little fridges are wimpy, and cannot hold more than 2 or 3 days worth of groceries! What's that all about? I would gladly trade a towel warmer for a damn fridge! Love the new shell,,,,leaks cannot get through them! And,,,the showers? Mmmmmmm mighty nice! But could we please go back to the locking cupboards,,,,pretty please? Can I say it? I'm a tad bit disappointed in the new line! Why would I want bunk beds if the kiddos eat all the food out of the fridge the first day? Or, maybe Coachman thinks we could only tolerate those kiddos for one day? Anyway, you and Dugal are looking wonderful, thanks for the tours! You know I love to peek inside all the new campers! Nosey, huh?

Having a good nosy is what it is all about, Granny Lyn! I agree that the smaller fridges are becoming less 'fit for purpose', especially in family 'vans, but they do actually hold a good amount. And those lockers have been without catches for many years, so I can only guess that some folks prefer not having to fiddle with a locking mechanism and would rather the risk of things falling out in transit. The European market gets so many more fantastic looking caravans. The U.S. market is still being designed by a 1970's mentality. I'd love to see any of these caravans in the states. How does your Frontier do with towing your Airstream?

By UK standards the Frontier (Navara) is a large car, and it copes with towing my 17ft Airstream very well. But I can only put about 300lbs on the hitch, so that's why the EU Airstreams have the axle set further forward that the US models. Either way, it's stable and cruises nicely at our maximum speed (towing) of 60mph.

The us caravans have a more timeless designs, while the eu caravans end up looking old and outdated a lot quicker. And the interior in the eu caravans, haven't changed much since the 1970's

Yes, there are blackout blinds to all the windows including the sunroof and roof lights.

I'm currently in France on my second outing with my 2017 coachman vision (dealer special) unfortunately I've just dented the side with an awning pole....now I feel sick! I wish these things could be repaired.

Mfhairstream I didn't feel the quality was greater than my Rockwood, what stood out though was the beautiful modern decor. We just don't get that style much the USA. Modern just has a way of looking better because it is so clean and uncluttered.

All the carpets are removable (as they had been removed in one or two of them) so it is personal choice if you put them down or not.

Another great video Andrew and great for a detailed first look into the new Coachman range. Have to agree with one of the other comments about the music being a little somber for me. Like the huge sunroofs in the VIP. Not sure on the tap, makes face splashing post shave a tap / head-butt risk....

Very nice, the tap does look nice but I bet they get in the way when you are getting washed, you cant swing them out of the way so you dont hit them as you bring your hands full of water up to rinse your face. But the vans do look really nice.

I need to take a tape measure next time! I would definitely say that they were nowhere near 6ft 4 though. But the two-berth models, if you make up the front bed to a double, normally work out at about 6ft 9 long.

That is a pretty large coach for a single axle in my humble opinion. Twin screws would seem appropriate for that much weight, but then, I am not an expert. Am I wrong?

You can generally go up to 1800kg on a single axle - that's pretty much the norm these days in Europe.

Love the Coachman VIP two berth but as I'm only 5'2" the microwave is far too high for me. Will have to go inside and see if the kitchen work surface is also too high. A problem I am having with most caravans on the market. I have to stand on a stool to cook and wash pots. Present caravan is an ACE Award Brightstar which is showing its age. Was hoping for a replacement where cooking etc. will be easier for me.

End kitchens used to be lower by design but they are few and far between. And with modular furniture fitted to most vans, they will all have the same kitchen throughout the entire range. Good luck in your search!

I thought you were going to do a pan of the whole inside of the vans before you started looking at details. When you did this in Germany it was much easier to get a picture of the overall layout before you started looking at details. - Ok you did sometimes.

All those THINGS make you feel like your in a tin can or plastic bottle , you can hear it in the sound, they need to use sound panels and fabric interior elements equal to around 5 layers of bath towel in thickness, they need to be a few items that are both permanent and removable and washable, its not a hard fix....

Yes they do, often a large double or two singles. Coachman caravans are manufactured in Hull, England.

Axles are a wee bit further forward in Europe than in North America as our cars are generally built to deal with nose (tongue) weights of about only 200lb.
