spinks was technically brilliant and one of the hardest punchers at 175 . Spinks should be given alot more credit for his outstanding achievements. He seems such a good advert for boxing and its nice to see him in good health.

Great boxer and was smart to never come back after the Tyson fight. Love to be able to have a fight at 175 between Spinks and Roy Jones Jr. Loved 80's boxing.

A pity that Spinks is only linked to beating Larry Holmes and mostly for losing to Mike Tyson in 91 seconds. Spinks was a brilliant Lightheavyweight and certainly an all-time great at 175.

Tony Perez the ref still stepped in to stop it a hell of a lot sooner, than he did with the Mercer and Morrison fight.

Michael had that great ability to lead with a hook to the body and then devastate his opponent with follow up combos. Watch how, from the fourth round forward, he did this repeatedly. He would give opponents fits today. Too bad Mike Weaver didn’t accept the offer-that could’ve been one hell of a fight.

@@gl6996 He did...Parkinson's as a result of his boxing days. He should have never been in the ring with Spinks. Too light a puncher and too amateurish in style. He's lucky he didn't get hurt worse than he did.
