Just knowing that the weight loss journey is not a linear downhill and the ups and downs on the path have to be tackled analytically has been a huge help 😀

That vicious circle described by Lucy is all too familiar, I swear that was most of my teenage and early adult life. I never thought I’d get to the point I am now, which is eating everything but in moderation and feeling genuinely satisfied. It took effort to fix the psychological relationship with food, but doing that has had the most payoff out of everything I’ve tried.

I use this strategy as well with Yasso ice cream bars (they're only 100 calories). I eat one every day, and always towards the end of the evening after dinner as I'm winding down. It's something I look forward to, and I binge less on other sugary foods during the day. I lost around 30lbs in 2021, and for the most part kept it off since..

I also comfort myself with sweets when feeling stressed, overwhelmed or even just bored. I love the tip in this video to have mindfulness around sweets. It is a totally different experience when I take time to choose and really enjoy something as opposed to just having anything that is available (like half a cherry pie when I really want coco cream-lol!) I am finally realizing that it's my brain/cravings/old habits that are what have been hijacking my weight loss efforts.

I highly recommend setting some parameters on even your cheat days. I don't do any refined sugar and make my own, pies, ice cream, brownies etc.. on my cheat days using natural sweeteners like stevia, xylitol and monkfruit. By doing this, I notice Im able to jump back into my daily routine/diet when Im ready much easier
@ranaawwad76772 жыл бұрын
setting parameters is easy, it is following them that is the problem. I still can't fully abide to the cheat day, sorry meals, rules.

I am eating like they feed people in the hospital and losing belly weight with no sweat. 😊 I eat jello with every meal and soup with my dinner. I eat at least 90grams of protein a day and no more than 1550 calories.

Sugar creates further cravings because of how it affects your microbiome. Adding in more fiber of different types can help control cravings while decreasing sugary snacks.

This is me, just with chips xD I don't really have a sweet tooth, but my mom does. All I need to do is limit buying chips and even if I do binge, I don't particularly have any shame. My strategy is to eat a ton at breakfast with tons of fiber and protein, so I end up undereating in the end of the day unless I consciously eat lunch. Eating 300 calories of chips honestly wouldn't be bad lol.

Glad Lucy got off the addiction of sweet desserts and it became something she consumed if she wanted it, not when she needed it. Desserts should never be something we need and crave for. Lucy's audio in this video needs to be improved. Not sure if it's the her mic.... Great video tho.

So she hid the ice cream sandwiches........in the cupboard?!? I guess that's a good strategy. Just ruin the ice cream sandwiches and then you won't be able to eat them.

okay this helped me decide. i have found a chocolate that tastes so good that i feel like i'm never gonna get bored of it but also it has a very strong after taste so much so that eating 2 3 after one another doesn't give the same nice taste. so i realized that the best way to eat it is just having a singular piece (maybe 2 but after some minutes) and i have decided that i give myself 4 piece credit every day so i can decide when or if i want to have them

I have such a product. For me it's a brand of chocolate bar with strawberry crumbs. I usually eat only 7g (2 squares) and I don't want any more sweets! Btw, is everything alright with Lucy's sound? Is it just me or it seems distorted?

After being overweight for years, I’ve finally been able to gradually lose weight over the past 3 years by doing exactly the advice in this video!! At one point I decided to stop punishing and depriving myself, even if it meant being overweight forever! Since then, I allow myself anything but have focused on the questions 1) do I really want it 2) how will it make me feel and 3) have I had enough. Now I can keep any foods in my house and have become a much healthier eater, both physically and mentally. Deprivation was a crux issue for me that triggered overeating for many years.

This was a really good video! It didn't occur to me to think about what worked in the past and how to incorporate that in the future. Most recently I really latched onto the studies that said ~80% of weight loss is diet based, and you can't out-exercise a bad diet. And so I really focused in on calorie restriction and intermittent fasting, to remove those extra calories per day that must have been the source of my weight loss problems. But I ended up eating too few calories, my nutritionist pointed out, less than my BMR. And I increased activity, so apparently my body was holding onto everything I gave it, even though I was eating less. Now that I think about what worked for me in the past, it was really increasing my average daily activity level. Walking around more per day, getting steps in. Not huge gym workouts but just consistently moving all day. Thank you for getting me to change my thought pattern there, I think this is good info!

what would ypu guys recommend for hormonal cravings.....I mean every month it seems light around my cycle Im super hungry and no matter what I do; I´ll end up eating more than my calories target......everyyy month
@SeaFlower382 жыл бұрын
Maybe: Limit yourself to two or three pieces of chocolate per day on ur cycle. Eat more negative calorie foods (apples, etc). Eat foods that fill u up for longer like eggs, oatmeal, peanut butter.
@virginiemazy70542 жыл бұрын
Indeed eat food that fill you up. And drink a lot of water because sometimes you are thirsty but you misunderstand it as hungry How many days di the craving last ? If it’s 2 days you can adjust your weekly calorie average. And why do you eat ? What is the fundamental need / problem that you want to solve ? Maybe you feel stressed out ? Or tired or sad ? Try to identify the underlying negative emotion that you now answer via those cravings. Check also your blood parameters ? Maybe you crave chocolate because your body need magnesium? Maybe take some supplements during those days ? In a nutshell, try to understand/, try to anticipate and just try different strategies 😊 The craving is a signal. Try to understand what it means.

Hey, I made a frito pie using 10-15 chips, 1 cup brisket, 1/4 cup oniin, 1/4-1/2 cup tomatoes, 1/4-1/2 link Italian sausage, 1/2 cup shredded cheese, red pepper flakes, and taco seasoning. As a dessert I did 1/4 of a choc moonpie. Did this for supper 2 nights in a row and still have 1/2 moonpie left. Hope this helps with ur question for recipes and methods. Mind u I'm doing keto with a 35 g net carb limit, 105 g fat limit, 100 g protien goal, and a 1485 Cal limit I'm ok going over as much as between 1500-1600 total cals daily. I'm doing 15 hr fasts. I also do things like veggie and meat filled fried rice using 1/4-1/2 cup briwn rice. Some days I do no complex carbs at all and get all my carbs from veg like carrots and beets along with onions and sweet peppers and low carb fruit like berrues and cherries. Hope this helps some

My GF told me the "secret" to her toned perfect physique and defined abs. She said she "never works out and eats holes". I said "holes?" She said "Yes. A whole pizza, a whole cheesecake, a whole bottle of Bailey's". It was true. I hate her. I dumped her.
