When I stopped all of the crazy restricting and hours of cardio is when my body actually lost weight. I've found food freedom and am so much happier. Diet culture makes us think we need to always move more and eat less, but actually that will just make your body hold on to everything. Just let go and let your body do it's thing. Great video Viva! 🤗👍👍

I love your practical, informative and realistic videos!! I deal with chronic pain and after watching this I realize that I am also working from the 'tip of the iceberg' and end up burned out, injured or just plain uninspired when it comes to movement and exercise. I'm definitely going to explore activities that are less intense but strive for more consistency and give myself a good foundation before progressing to more challenging activities. AND I will also find things I enjoy. 👍

Yes, you can do it! Over time, you may find that you enjoy the stuff you didn't used to, but let's build the foundation to get there first while associating exercising with pleasure instead of pain.

The moral of this video is extremely wise - seeking forever to optimize calorie-burning exercise and lose, lose, lose not only isn't possible, as you say, it gets pathological and isn't even effective! The best movement is one that is its own motivation and incentive! Tennis has got me in the gym two to three times a week to optimize NOT my calorie burn but my performance at the sport I love! Thanks for this video, coaches!

I love your videos but I am baffled why Lucy is the only case study in every video. It would be more encouraging seeing others applying the same strategies you recommend and witnessing their positive results. Would be nice to include a case study of a person over the age of 30 to see if these weight loss strategies would work for them.

Glad to like our videos, Dione. Our next couple of videos will feature stories of other people, including one from a 60+ yr old woman, so look out for that! To answer your Q why we mostly talk about Lucy, it's simply because the videos are easier to write since we work together 😅 (making videos is a lot of work) + most of our students are too shy to be on camera. But we're working on incentivizing more of them to be on camera, so stay tuned. In the meantime, if you want to hear others' stories, you can check out our success story playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLTelDpsMPARUDsKYJxGpjtIGEFQiVE_Xc

I use to love gym classes 5 days a week plus a day in the gym doing my own thing. Now that feels like the worse thing ever and I just want to walk most of the time.

Hi Richa and Lucy, I have this question which has been on my mind, is there any relation between sleep and exercise, I'm a student and I can only afford to sleep for 6 hrs but I also want to and need to lose weight.
@CoachViva2 жыл бұрын
There is. Usually poorer sleep is correlated with lower energy output during exercise (fewer calories burned) though you will still burn some calories of course. However that doesn't mean you can't lose weight on just 6h. I recommend continuing to focus on diet first and then for exercise, just find something you can do consistently but don't overtax yourself.

el mejor ejercicio es que el que te gusta hacer, no el que es que está optimizado para perder grasa

I do not understand why do you have to create an unbelievable hype at the start of your every video and then mention of lucy who was fat in 2017 and then this one secret thing worked for her fat loss !! And the funny thing is that one secret thing changes with every video .. !!

And ya strength training wont be that tough if you do it systematically and gradually. I understand not enjoying it but if she was getting tired like this then she wasn’t doing it right

Hi Khan. This video isn't about any secrets to losing weight. The title of the video is about exercise myths only and Lucy's story is meant to show the fallacy of of trying to optimize exercise for calories-burned, something that's impossible to do given the reasons & research mentioned in the video. This video does not attempt to explain what she did to lose weight, just what she did to find exercise that she could stick to and get fitter/stronger. To be honest, the reason why we always use our stories is because the video scripts are easier to write since it's based off of our personal experiences. But I totally understand it can be tiring to keep seeing the same characters show up in video after video. We're working on getting more stories from our own community so we can illustrate important weight loss principles using other people's stories in the future. So look out for that!

@khannasar8978 for some strange reason it doesn't seem real. Badass doesn't have testimony from private people. They post for them. If you come across any bad ass reviews it will only be on this channel alone. Something is strange about the whole thing.
