I was once there, thankfully I broke that chain after 17 years of being afraid of carbs . I used to never eat onions , carrots and starchy veg like eggplants because of the carbs. I was saved from this in the year 2020. It’s been 2 years now and I eat oats, potatoes, rice cakes, wraps, bread , fruits etc and I am finally leaner than I have ever been because I started lifting weights and eating at maintenance calories. I feel so happy to have found this way of doing things . It’s month 5 of this new year and I have not ate outside my macros excepting on my birthday. Why? Because I don’t feel restricted anymore and I am not starving either as maintenance calories is a good place to be. My workouts are awesome, today I got my first weight pull up. I am Loving life now .hope others one day take this leap and try eating meals that have a Balance of protein fat and carbs. To anyone who reads this, CARBS DONT MAKE YOU FAT, OVEREATING WILL

I’ve been doing ketovore-ish (high protein, moderate fat, low carb), intermittent fasting, and a few extended fasts. It’s helped, but I noticed some carb paranoia sneaking in, so I’m glad this video was on my recommended feed. Keto’s helped me to look at labels for ingredients, macro count, and find/cook lighter versions of my favorite meals. Eating more meat has helped with satiety and also made me realize how much I love eating vegetables too. Fasting has helped with mental and physical self control, and lets my body have some breaks from digesting food. Now my challenge is to not be scared of carbs, while still choosing healthier carbs and portion sizes.

If carbs tend to increase your appetite (which is certainly common) then lowering them and relying on fats and proteins to fuel and satiate you does not feel like deprivation. Plus it’s called Low Carb, not No Carb, so you could eat one slice of regular bread and still stay below 20 grams of carbs. And for many people it’s easier to eat 0 cookies than just 1 cookie.

It's about what works for you. I currently have type 2 diabetes, so low carb is where it's at for me, but you still have to go into calorie deficit. One day, I might be able to relax on eating carbs. I occasionally eat carbs on a cheat meal, to test my system to see if I am recovering my insulin sensitivity. Once every couple of weeks

If you lose enough weight to get below your body’s personal fat threshold, you are very likely have a greater insulin sensitivity and decrease A1c. I low carb or a keto is not the only way. But it may be the most satisfying for you, so go for it. But also look at the work of Dr. Roy Taylor. Not low carb but pretty drastic for 8 weeks. But this weight loss is not about vanity, so some thing a little more drastic can be justified and maintained. But his patients were able to eat carbohydrates after the intervention, as long as they kept their way down.

As someone who has been overweight/obese/severely obese from childhood into their mid 20s, I wanted to lose weight but I had waaay more weight to lose than others. I peaked at 390lbs when I was in my junior year of college and between my diet, my weight, and my struggles with ADHD and sleep apnea, everything felt like an uphill battle. Couple of years after I got out of school my weight had come down to 360 but that was over the course of maybe 4-5 years and I was still dealing with my health problems. In 2020 I saw a doctor for some swelling in my legs and I was also put on high blood pressure medication. Between not wanting to stay on meds and wanting to be healthy overall to protect myself from COVID, these were my reasons for wanting to lose weight. I can personally identify myself as a carb/sugar addict. There is no food that I can have an unhealthy craving for and eat waaay more than I need to like carbs. If I ate fat or protein I can feel myself getting full/satiated and identify when I can stop eating. When I’m eating carbs combined with fat or protein, I can feel full but my body will still be craving more food. The more aware I became of this, the more I could Identify carbs being the problem for me. I did not want to eat carbs by themselves either. It was always the carbs combined with fat be it the potatos fried in oil or the bread with butter. Carbs by themselves did not appeal to me otherwise, and so since I don’t want to eat carbs unless combined with fat, and since carbs are a non-essential macro, why not just get rid of them? I started keto back in 2020 but I didn’t commit to it until June which was when I saw the doctor that put me on meds. I had great weight loss success at first but of course I had “stalls” and “plateaus”. But something else happened that made the difference: I felt in control of my cravings and my hunger. I became more aware of what my body craved nutrient wise, and with what I was eating I was satisfying those needs. I didn’t feel depraved because I couldn’t eat the pizza or the chips or the fries. I had foods that I coule eat that I knew would satisfy me, and I didn’t care what the people around me were eating, and on top of that, I didn’t *CRAVE* what everyone else was eating. After about 2-3 months I had gone down from 360 to ~ 310, and for a few months following I had somewhat fell off after I started dating and shortly after got into a relationship. I was still losing weight despite falling off my diet, but other parts of my QOL were suffering like my sleep, stress, mood, etc. (partially due to the change in relationship). I think the healthy habits I gained from my diet did help me and probably was why I was still losing weight. But the relationship ended and I had gone back to focusing on myself and my health and at this point I was 290 so I had finally gone under 300lbs which was huge. I kept on with keto and I shifted over towards carnivore which helped me stop looking at my diet as a way to lose weight, but as a way to optimize my health and feed my body the nutrients it’s been deprived of for so many years. And since I was literally forcing myself to eat veggies on keto cause I thought I “needed” them, I preferred being a carnivore among other things. Now end of June 2022, I’m in the 240s hovering around 28% Body Fat with only 5” to go to get to my ideal waist size, I have normalized my blood pressure, my sleep apnea has gone from severe to mild and I don’t need to use a CPAP if I choose not to, and I’m starting to see some improvements in mental health and cognition. So in short - cutting carbs worked for me, but opting for the most nutrient dens food is what allowed me to not want carbs in the first place. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ok cool story, a lot of people have self control though and there are plenty of very filling carbs. A guaranteed way to eventually binge eat carbs is to restrict them from your diet.
@TheDarKris2 жыл бұрын
@@UXDA_Official I understand that carbs inherently are not inherently “bad” and I also understand that a lot of people that struggle with overeating tend to reach for the ultra-processed, hyper palatable carbs. If someone has an addiction to a substance, I think telling them to only have it in moderation would be harmful. Carbs packed with fiber will illicit less of a response sure, but they are a non-essential nutrient, so eliminating those, even if temporarily to heal, would be less detrimental than eliminating or severely cutting back on fats or protein. So that’s an option people should feel like they can take.

16:48 Low carb works as a useful proxy. That's why it's so effective to market/communicate low carb, understanding it, and sticking to a low carb plan. People then immediately cut out the food with added sugar, junk food, and other food with high glycemic index. So a low carb diet isn't wrong. It's just not entirely accurate, and you don't have to fear carbs as much when eaten in a whole meal with protein and fat (or with fiber, such as in whole fruit instead of fruit juice).
@ArtAngelMouse2 жыл бұрын
I started my health journey in December and heard about low carb/keto, so I did that for a bit until I heard a nutritionist say that it doesn't matter if its low or high carb, just matters if you're eating whole plant foods. So I am now mainly whole plant foods and it feels so much more freeing. Low carb is unnecessarily strict imo. Fortunately, I stuck to a more low-carb plant and fish diet which still sorta works. I lost weight from less calories and having a healthy, sustainable mindset, not reducing carbs itself. I still lose weight eating tons of carbs too and I find whole carb foods extremely satiating. I feel very energetic for exercise and it makes me happy to move around more. I am definitely a fan of a thriving life, its not just about fat loss like you said.

One thing all these low carb influencers aren't aware of (or don't want you to be aware of), is the fact that insulin also increases due to protein intake, specifically the amino acid leucine, found in meat and dairy. And leucine can elevate insulin far longer than eating a carbohydrate can.
@StraightEdgeJunkie8 ай бұрын
And your body can actually store dietary fat as fat without the presence of insulin. This is something they also always leave out because it makes the grift fall flat on its face.
@JohnnySemedo6 ай бұрын
The insulin spikes are way lower than the high glicimic food spikes. If the rise on glucose and insulin lasts longer, that's a good thing because you won't be hungry so quickly... What causes over-eating is constant mountains and valleys caused by high glicemic foods. If you're glucose rises slowly and drops slowly as well, you'll avoid INFLAMMATION and all the other symptoms that derived from it.
@JohnnySemedo6 ай бұрын
@@StraightEdgeJunkieonce we are fat adapted, meaning we dropped our carb so low, that we forced our body to become more efficient at converting fats into energy, our body burns the fat we ingest for energy. Since our satiety hormones start to work properly, we become satisfied with every meal, so we don't need to eat 6 or 7 times a day, 2 or 3 it's enough, This way, while we are not eating our body enters into ketosis, burning keton bodies and fats for energy. That's why instead of storing fats, we turn our body into a fat burning machine, a thing that carb eaters can't do so easily...
@StraightEdgeJunkie6 ай бұрын
@@JohnnySemedo Eh, not really. We know from metabolic tracer studies that 98% of the fat we store originates as dietary fat. As a general rule, we burn carbs and store fat. So, when you eat more fat, you burn more fat - but also store more fat. When you eat more carbs, you burn less fat, but also store less fat. Fat burning is also not the same thing as fat loss; fat loss is fat storing minus fat burning - the amount of total fat you lose or store is dictated by energy balance, calories in, calories out. So, being a "fat burning machine" doesn't really mean anything if you're also a fat storing machine. It's +-0. I've heard all the things you're talking about because it's the keto influencer gospel, but what they're saying is just not true. I'm not calling you dumb, smart people fall for this all the time. But there's a mountain of evidence - randomized control trials, the gold standard of evidence - comparing high carb and high fat diets, with calories and protein equated, where they see the same amount of fat loss. If the keto gospel was true, these studies couldn't exist. To your point, there's some data on ketones enhancing satiety. I'm not super convinced by it, but I do know it exists, and people definitely do report improved satiety on keto. And if something works for you, it works for you. That's great, keep doing it. But in general, if you look at the drop out rates on all these popular named diets, they all kinda do the same. No one diet really emerges as one that has the best adherence. The best diet seems to be whatever works best for you. But as far as fat loss is concerned, the total calories are what dictate that, not the macronutrient content of the diet. At least according to the data we have.
@JohnnySemedo6 ай бұрын
@@StraightEdgeJunkie every excess food gets stored as fat. But our body doesn't work with switches, it's a gradient spectrum. Autophagy does start only after 14 hours into our fasting, it happens all the time, but the longer we go without eating the stronger it gets. Burning fat, works the same way, the longer we go without eating (or exercise) the more fat our metabolism burns for energy. It's possible to over-eat butter and high fatty meat? Yeah, it is, but much less likely than pasta, bread, rice and most highly processed highly palatable food-like products. So that 98% you referred to, most likely happens on omnivorous diets that happen to be high in carbs and fats. All diets work, calories-in, calories-out, right? I tend to agree, but we are not bomb calorimeters. We have a complex hormonal system that massively influences the calories-out part of the equation. Insulin, Glucagon, Grelin, Cortizol, Melatonin, Estrogen, Testosterone and many other hormones, are heavily influenced by our lifestyle. Diet, Sleep, exercise and stress management play a crucial role in in this equation. Any simplistic view on these, can cause a lot of misinformation and many times creates confusing advices that leed people to eat unhealthy things like French fries, just because "it fits their macros" 🙄☠️🤦 Using USA data, more that 73% of the US population have a BMI above 25 and roughly 93% of these people suffer from some king of metabolic disease, and almost all of them are caused by insulin resistance. People don't get to become insulin resistant because they went carnivore or keto. They get to that stage because of excessive carbs intake. For someone that is young and relatively healthy it's easier for them to count calories, control portions, build a meal plan following certain macros, exercise and control many other factor. Don't get me wrong, it works. But not for the majority of people, most people on these diets guesstimate their calories wrong, go too fast, end up crashing down their metabolism, losing fat and especially muscle and within a few months hitting a platou. So, most end up yo-yo dieting. While low-carb lifestyle it's not perfect... for elderly people that can't properly exercise, it's much easier to just drop the carbs. The satiety hormones start to work properly, and they start burning the fat they ingest and also stored fat. Without high levels of insulin it's very challenging for our bodies to store dietary fat as body fat. I encourage you to read about the "lipid energy model" to learn how fat metabolism works on people on low carb. People who say it's hard to adhere it's simply because they need to justify their carb addiction. Yeah carbs are really addictive... Studies are simply studies that find whatever the researchers want to find, under the circumstances studied. Some of these researchers consider 30% of carbs, a low carb diet, LoL 😂 for a proper low carb/low fat comparison, show me a study where they drop the cabs as low as 5-10%... You'll have an hard time on finding those... 😅 In the real world, The harsh true is that the majority of the carb addicts don't hit adequate protein levels for their bodies. While keto almost force people into having adequate levels of protein. So, is keto the right diet for everyone, probably not, some people cannot live without their bread and pasta. But I think it has clear advantages to low fat diets. Just my opinion In the end, the best diet is the one you can stick to that brings you closer to your health goals. Ideal Height is a sing of health, but doesn't tell the whole story... There's a tons of TOFI (Thin in the Outside but fat Inside) people that aren't even aware they have a metabolic problem, but as they get older they start to feel the symptoms. I'm not against any diet, I'm just against misinformation and people who tend to ignore thousands of anecdotes just because the REAL science hasn't catched-up yet. It might take decades, but real science will emerge and will put an end to epidemiology garbage and these studies that scream conflict of interests. Just saying 😉

Look, the idea that someone's "dream life" requires cake etc is pretty silly. I am a recovering sugar addict. Been sugar and sweetener free for over 4 years. No cakes. No pies. No cookies. No nothing. Sweetest thing I ever eat is fruit, and I don't eat that much of that either. Am I happy? Absolutely. Breaking an addiction is an incredibly great feeling. After being enslaved to cravings for so many years, it's wonderful to finally be free. So to me, when you ask about my dream life, I think of it like maybe a recovering alcoholic would. You ask, "Is your dream life really never having a single beer again?" A recovering alcoholic is going to say yes. Assuming he's not near a relapse. And I'm the same way. Human beings have survived for thousands of years without that garbage. And it's only our modern mindset making us think we're "missing out" cause we can't have cake.

Correct me if I am wrong, but there are 2 know drivers of obesity: omega 6 linoleic acid from - above all - plant based oils, and fructose from sugar; both factors drive obesity thru fatty liver disease. So skip both and your are on your way to good health. And dont fret about starchy-carbs, starches break down to glucose only, a precious nutrient for our bodies.
@Magnulus76 Жыл бұрын
I think the attraction to low carb is due to the fact that many high carb foods are not traditional prestige foods. Pasta and potatoes were staples of poor peasants in the past. Beef was not. That means there's a sociopolitical element potentially, as people who are naturally conservative are going to be attracted to traditional prestige foods, and resent any implied change in their food hierarchies. Even since the 1950's, foods like quiche or tofu have been attacked as supposedly effeminate, unmasculine, or unpatriotic, simply because they aren't traditional prestige foods. Now days, these kinds of attacks are directed against starches and plant-based diets. Now days it's under the guise of science or medical influencers, but the underlying motivations are the same: reinforce existing food hierarchies.

Telling people to restrict there carbs and saying that that means they shouldn’t eat any bread, pasta or rice, doesn’t sound like the same thing to me.😮 a lot of people would benefit from increasing protein and decreasing carbs. But they don’t have to go low carb.

I find I have to keep my carbs proportional with exercise. Like I need a relatively static amount of protein and fat each day, but the amount of carbs fluctuates with how much exercise I'm getting. Marathon running? A buttload of carbs. Completely sedentary, didn't even leave the house? Very few carbs, just enough for maintenance, which with the fat, is almost zero.

I found keto was a fun experience, by always trying out new receipt, lots of new veggies i have never tried before, the 3 months ive wanted to do went by like nothing.... I also hardly reduced calories (only a reduction of 100-200 per week, because its hard to eat so many kcal without carbs) Yes some of it was waterweight, but that you also know when reading only a little bit about keto, but it was definetly also fat That said, of course Ketos not sustainable, thats also something you need to know before doing something like that, I saw it as an experiment with unknown outcome and no expectations that could lead to disappointment I am glad I did it, taught me a lot about foods, got me into the habbit of eating almost 80-90% whole foods (before only 50, which is admitattly still more than most people) and i did lose some weigth, but it was still on a normal rate After all that i definetly dont think carbs are the enemy, i eat them again now and I also dont think low carb or keto is for everyone And I DO like your video, but I don't think its all bad, you just have to know what youre getting into beforehand.
@CoachViva2 жыл бұрын
Agreed Nocti. If you're getting into it as an experiment and understand it's probably not sustainable and that's ok, then it's gonna be fine. I decided to write the video to those who do keto/low carb more with the mindset Lucy had. Glad you enjoyed it and decided to leave your thoughts here. I loved reading it ❤️

I have hoshimotoes which messes with hirmones including insulin. I have hypoglyas a result, and am obese. I weaned down to a keto reginmine of 50 g varbs max a day. It took a year to be able to start that, and I started intermittent fasting at the same time. I started with a 12:12 regimen, but currently am doing a 14:10. I started with a mild to moderate calorie deficit, and as my weight decreases I decrease my calorie and macro intake. I recently went from 50 g carbs max to 40, and from 130 g fat to 126, from 101 protein to 93, and from 1773 cals to 1703. It's only a slight deficit, I refuse to do a deficit of cals under 1500 so I don't cut too much causing my body to trigger starvation mode. I do eat some grains, but in heavy moderation. One of my faves is overnight oats. I mox berries, home made high fat yogurt, cinnamon and stevia. I might add a bit of home made whey. Sometimes I do a meal with 1/2 cup of cooked brown rice or pasta. I do often sub pasta with things like shiritake noodles for a lower carb option, but make sure to add plentky of fat and protien and some higher carb veggies. And yes, I do still occasionally eat treats like fast food burgers or hostess sweets. It's a treat, not a constant. Mostly to curb cravings I choose low carb subs I make myself. Like home made low carb muffins made with coconut flour, strawberry rhubarb sugar free mini tarts made with a coconut flour crust, 2 ingredient fudge cups made with lillys bakers choc and peanut butter made from only peanuts and salt. Then there's low carb parfaits made with home made yogurt, fresh berries, and pecans sweetened with stevia or breakfast cookies made from overnight oats with a bit of xantham gum and coconut flour added. Diets are fine and dandy, but having multpile tools in ur toolbelt works best. Humans aren't one sze fits all, and what works for me might not help others. I do more than keto and intermittent fasting. I keep eating nutrient dense foods including wild greens, consume spices and herbs that aid in glucose and insulin regulation like cinnamon, and make and consume my own probiotic foods and drinks. I do sometimes do storebough sodas, but mostly I do things like komboocha or home made fruit juice based fermented sodas. Currently I'm down around 50 pounds and still have around 80 to go to reach my current goal. But I'm doing it on my terms while listening to info. I like learning, and lots of conflicting views always have a common denominator where they meet in the middle. Those in the low carb/keto camp and those based on health/diabetes experts who aren't usually for low carb. Both camps have certain things the info converges with. That's where I find the best advice, right where both camps agree.

I'm not Lucy. 😁 I just turned 50. But would like to lose 35lbs and tone up a little. Since I'm on meds for high blood pressure, I would like to get off these meds (and decrease my BP). Was on Nutrisystem for 3 months. Lost 10lbs but it was just too expensive. And the food, while tasty, took up too much room in my fridge. I wish I could do the healthy shake thing but for some reason shakes make me extremely tired after I drank one. So I'm considering getting into the gym. Maybe getting a trainer.... Any insight?

I havebeen keto-liw carbs diet. I have nit gone keto yet because I had surgery couple of month a go and I'm still recover. Cards also made my stomack hurt, I do not have gluten allergy, but doctor think that oil/butter in wheat food made gallbladder upset. Noe I have tasted bread couple time and stomack was ok, but I have ested more fruit, vegetables, salmon, meat, chicken and other Healthy vitamin foods, because I could only last year eat potato,salmon, blueberry and banana. Niw my stomack is kinda normal, bu liver is niw in normal level and the fats around it have dissapier. I started slowly esting after surgery other things and niw I'm eating healthy and feel more energy. Carbs make me still tired, so I have carbs still, but they come other foods. I have lots weight a lot in 6 month and know nit so much weight, but stomack fat, because I have mesurr and notice how pants are getting lose, even some shirt have. I was summer about side 46-48, now I'm 42-40. I know thw moust fat did go away because my helth thing, but know about 5-10 kilos have gone bu eating and moving. I have eated also some times like some sweet and other thing some times, but in small portation and healthy wersion, exsample I usually like to eat sushi really big plate, know Small plate and that can make me full easily. Also before eating I drink water. Also I think biggest thing was not drinkin cola, that I was addicted, but my gallblatter did have so bad reaction, so I have to chanche it first juive, then sugsr free Juice and then I chanche it water. Still cola and other sodas make my stomack week, so just I have soda drinks in cheat day like couple days in month

I once found myself in a mental and physical condition I feeled the need to lose weight fast and so I stopped eating ANYTHING for around 3 weeks ( I was 120 kg beginning, so i HAD some storaged energy to rely on, don't ever do that please). I lost around 15 kg during these almost 3 weeks but when I start eating again, over the pain I enjoyed in the bathroom (Burning hell as I ate every chilis on earth) , I just gained every kg again, I am now around 125 kg and finally started to change and to eat more fibers and more normal quantity, almost balanced meals. I don't feel any lack of energy anymore (other than my mental energy which is not consequence of this) and I feel way better because replacing half of my carbs meal (rice and pasta) with peas and beans (rich in fibers and proteins), I feel way better during the day (and in the bathroom). It has last for 2 weeks or a bit more now and I just begin to feel hungry again (as an obese eating one huge meal a day and fasting the rest, I had no energy but was not used to feel hunger directly in my stomach) and it feels amazing. To sum up : I now eat "simple" food as I like to say which are just unprocessed food, simple/ whole carbs, simples peas, with simple lil canola oil and simple garlic clove. Simplicity and integrity are the key

Many years ago I did keto for 2,5 years and during that time got constantly fatter and sicker all the time. In the end, I developed heart arrhythmia. My cardiologists strongly recommended me to switch back to carbs. Now after 5 years of a whole foods plant based, high carb, low fat and low animal products diet I am back at my optimal weight, optimal health and optimal well-being. Keto is actually toxic if you are not the right type. The growing number of studies showing the life shortening effect of keto should be a warning for all low carb followers.

Carbs vs Carnivore? Just about anyone can down 16 oz of meat at a sitting without any distress whatsoever. At one sitting, try eating 16 oz of corn or, broccoli, or carrots and then tell us how you feel. Or a pound of lettuce or spinach. or a pound of bread. As for me, my digestive system doesn't do well with carbs.

Calorie counting is dumb 🙄 Losing fat mass can be way simpler... By Dropping the carbs, your satiety signals will work much better, so, keto it's an appetite regulator lifestyle. Counting calories and being consistently stressed about portion control while starving, is not sustainable diet for most people. Getting adequate levels protein and complete the meals with healthy fats and non-starchy vegetables, it's way simpler. People who say it's not sustainable are those who need to justify their carb addiction. If you decide to quit the addiction, your life can be much easier and healthier. If you eventually visit Singapore, there's plenty of alternatives to rice or noodles. 😅 Also if your Thanksgiving requires mash potatoes and bread, if you have a taste of it once a year, it won't be the end of the world. But for me, just turkey is perfectly fine 🍗🦃 😂

So far I’ve lost about 25 pounds in a month of basically keto, which I realize a lot is water weight, but I’m definitely losing fat too. I’m really confused now. I can see how carbs aren’t the enemy, but they can offset the other macronutrients you need, especially protein. And carbs don’t leave you feeling full as long, though I suppose that’s mostly the case for processed carbs. I’m able to pack my meals with lots of protein since I’m having such little carbs, making it easier to be in a ‘calorie deficit’. Plus, I’ve only been eating two meals a day recently, or occasionally one, and I don’t think I could get enough protein if I didn’t really limit my carbs when eating less meals (my appetite is pretty stable). And I suppose I could eat more carbs before fasting, but carbs can leave you feeling hungry sooner, which is not good for fasting. I feel like it would be easier to reintroduce more whole carbs when I’ve lost most of the weight. So far I’m a little under 200 pounds, and my goal weight right now is 150. Things will get harder when I eventually get pregnant when my husband and I start trying mid this year, since you’re not supposed to lose weight when pregnant and can’t fast. And it will likely be harder to sticking to not unhealthy foods when I’m hungrier.

If you know how the body processes carbs, it only makes sense to restrict them regardless of your love for them. And your coach is a small Asian female. She got worried when she gained 5 pounds. If you eat the right types of foods, you shouldn't have to count your calories. I mean...the cavemen didn't count calories. I've tried to calorie count. I can't keep up with it. I just fix too many things I cannot calculate the calories for because I make alot of crock pot meals and I don't know how many servings are in the entire pot. If something is going to spike your sugar - why eat it? There are essential fats and essential proteins but there are no essential carbs. I am 56. post menopausal. I am no spring chicken so I don't have alot of time to experiment anymore. I need a working solution fast. I believe Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Eric Berg, Dr. Jason Fung, and Thomas DeLauer would beg to differ about your advice concerning keto. They also provide research studies to back up what they say. So, who's right? Dr. Lustig, Gary Taubes, and Dr. Timothy Noakes would say the same thing. Just because you enjoy a food doesn't mean you should eat it. Besides, I may not lose weight as efficiently as I did when I was younger. How do you factor in age, hormones, and genetics. I have been trying to work on my sleep but there's only so much I can do. I have no trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep during the night but my body/internal clock tells me to get up at a certain time frame in the morning that I can't get past sleeping through no matter what. I also have a sedentary job that keeps me in a desk chair 8-10 hours a day. I get up when I can but its only minutes at a time.

I healed many health conditions when I went low carb. From acne to IBS.
