In marine corps bootcamp, the recruits tried to start a mail call snack week where they would ask their loved ones for candy and power bars. Initially the DI's said "you can get it if everyone gets a snack." The recruits tried to exploit that. The DI's saved the snacks until final drill, nearly 3 months of snacks. They made everyone eat at least 5 bars killing 2 boxes of snacks and then my senior DI gave his box of power bars and counted down on how fast to eat it (this was after chow btw). Then the DIs told us to get on line and chug canteens. When we finished, everyone was looking at each other. 2 mins pass and then everyone started yacking. There was a stream of black tar vomit heading toward the bulkhead. Some recruits couldn't stop laughing and vomiting. One recruit tried to run to the head to vomit and the DI stiffed armed them and they barfed right next to their boots, they jumped like a balarena hopping away from a rattlesnake. 8 dudes including me didn't vomit (it was because I told the DI I didnt want any of the snacks because it could effect my training (i was the garbage recruit and really wanted to improve my fitness)). So me and the 7 other recruits who didn't vomit were pulled to the side and was told to do our hygiene stuff and go to bed since we were tough and me smart (which made me feel good about the compliment for once). I slept like 10 hours that night while everyone else had to clean up the vomit for 3 hours. It was awesome (btw, i hated basically everyone in bootcamp because they were a bunch of retarded high school kids who started shit). Now I'm in rotc but about to possibly go into the guard but I'll have to go back to bootcamp, at least i'll know whats going on and how to avoid bs, especially stuff like this.
