Thank you, Dr. Yuan, for giving biblical truth. Plenty of sin to go around, gay or straight. Thank God for The Savior.

I hope you know that Moses never wrote a single word of Leviticus? It was first written down around 900 BC (hundreds of years after Moses death) it was developed over a long time and by that LEVITICUS is a list of man made subjective secular rules and NOT at all the word of god. And furthermore: >>LEVITICUS 18,3 "You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you."

If you quote Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 saying homosexuality is an abomination, please tell us how you obey Lev 19:37 and 20:22 "Obey ALL my commandments and ALL my laws" All 613 of them. See also Gal 3:10 and 5:3.

So the "gift" of singleness is forced upon gay people, almost as a prescription. The use of "lifestyle" is my biggest beef, if as though who someone may or may not be having sex with is the totality of their life.
@christopherscheiber14393 жыл бұрын
The description of homosexuality as a lifestyle is a blatent oversimplification of human sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular. The purpose of this indoctrination of the collective societal psyche is paramount to the self validating delusion of heterosexuality possessing moral validity. The reason that we never hear the term " heterosexual lifestyle" is because there is no need to catogorize heterosexuality with such inherent connotative oversimplification in order to subconciously justify contempt and hatred through subjective comparison.
@nategraham69463 жыл бұрын
@@christopherscheiber1439 So it is just to justify contempt.

@@Pro-j4q So who did? Are you suggesting it isn’t divinely inspired.
@Pro-j4q Жыл бұрын
@@nategraham6946 I suggest that its a list of subjective rules made by humans (most likely by hebrews that were in power, wise men, men with different knowledges and experiences, etc.) for their folk, based on the experience, the knowledge, the historic context they had, for two reasons: 1 to give guidelines to survive in the best way possible in that time and situation. 2 (as I mentioned before) some of the rules are made to justify the overtake of the land of the Canaanites by the Hebrews. To give their rules more impact they declared them as "divine"rules which they arent. The same we find some thousand years before in the pagan religion of the Sumerians , who developed the list of laws called ME and they also claimed their rules are given by the gods, we have a list of rules in the viking culture given by their gods, etc. All those rules are man made and wise and claimed to be "divine" , and none of them are given by any gods or god.

Actually I can tell you as an ex-homosexual man that the church does not view my past sins as any worse than others. In fact I have been able to come into a church and admit my past and was fully accepted. But I don't think a man who was a serial adulterer or a serial rapist would be able to come into a church and be able to integrate in without anyone setting up more boundaries and holding him accountable for the consequences of his past and that he will not be given as much trust, even if he has repented and moved on. So actually the church does in many ways look on adultery and rape as far worse than homosexuality. It really does not obsess over this issue. Having been in the homosexual community and having been in the church community, it is good to talk about how the church can better reach out, but I can tell you right now, nothing the church can ever do will be good enough for the homosexual community. I can tell you flat out that I had plenty of people in the homosexual community openly tell me that they hated the church. I have never had a religious person actually tell me they hate gays, despite what you see in hollywood movies. The homosexual lobby is angry with the church for the same reason they are angry with people like me, we simply say we don't believe in their little categories. It has nothing to do with hating gay people or even being worried about what they do in privacy; it is all about people in the church simply questioning their agenda and for that reason being accused of being hateful. You can do whatever you like in privacy, if I simply say, because of my own experience, I don't believe being gay is genetic, for that reason, I would be accused of being a "hater". So, yes, be conscientious of how you speak towards homosexual people, but don't be naive enough to think that is going to shift how they perceive you.

The entire gay rights movement started as a protest against the dehumanizing way that christians collectively treated homosexuals in order to justify contempt and hatred through the stone of subjective comparison.

49:36 Mr. Yuan ends up going back to that "gay or straight" secular vocabulary. I think the premises behind the secular words are untrue. I think the term "beloved child of God" is a better characterization from Christ's perspective. The word "Gay" , as it is used today is only 50 years old and was used to indicate that people were categorically happy with living out their desires. I do not believe anyone is categorically happy.... by definition; the word is akin to happenstance meaning temporal and fleeting. The words heterosexuality and homosexuality are about 150 years old and arose out of an attempt to scientifically understand human behavior. These scientific terms try to define something which could hardly be categorized so simply, and it makes people into an object to be studied. We are not objects, we are subjects of our King, Jesus himself. I really loved Mr. Yuan's discussion, but I think he would do better by simply avoiding terms which may seem benign, but are actually antithetical to a Christian ethos. We really need to talk like Christians, and speak the words of eternal life. Jesus is Lord -let his words be our own.

Is being Homosexual unforgivable sin..?The unpardonable sin is told in the story of Jesus's miracle of healing the blind and deaf man. The story doesn't end there. The reason the man was described as physically blind and deaf was to illustrate a point. The man refused to see and hear the truth of Jesus. When the Pharisees witnessed the miracle, they denied that Jesus manifest sight and hearing for the man. Instead they refused to see and hear that the Power to do this was divine and from God. The Pharisees said, "This must be a demonic trick and called Jesus an evil sorcerer" . They in essence refused to see and hear. The unpardonable sin is by denying Jesus, by refusing to see and hear truth. If you die in this state of mind, you will certainly go to hell for eternity. Unpardonable sin is in essence ignorance of God's law. The word Ignorance, is derived from the old Latin word "ignore". It means that the person has been educated, knows about the subject, has knowledge of the facts... BUT...willfully chooses to "Ignore" the facts and proceed without regard to outcome. Ignorance of a law proves intent to break God's law thru a willful act of disobedience. Ignorance is not the same as Nescience: (being untrained, unaware, having no knowledge in). This explains the statement, "ignorance of the law is no excuse.." no free pass on willfully breaking a law that you know about. No using the excuse, I chose to ignore the law so I'm not guilty. We are talking about eternal life here. There is a redemption available to all who call out to Jesus. He said, "If anyone comes to Me, I will never turn them away" . If you come to him, "saying Jesus, come into my heart and forgive me of my sins and repent) . Jesus will always accept you and forgive you. This can only be done before you parish. This is not an option for the dead. So many feel they committed the unpardonable sin, and that is the big devil deception. They are convinced that they are "so bad" that they might as well go on being sinful because there is no hope for them. Don't be deceived by the devil. Gay people can be vulnerable thinking they are so bad and God will never allow them into heaven. if you are still alive (i hope you are if your reading this.. LOL) it is not too late to reach out to Jesus and accept him. "I stand at the door and knock" . All you have to do is open it and Jesus will come in.
