Hey Guys The name on Miyagi's passport "Keisuke Miyagi ' in his secret box was how Miyagi was introduced in the opening scene of " The Next Karate Kid" when he receives his medal of honor( the one Hawk stole) at the WWII ceremony. This is the connection to bring Julie Pierce ( Hillary Swank) back. Julie's grandfather being war buddies with Miyagi, and she learning Miyagi Do as a young child from him makes it a most worthy Miyagi connection. I know know you guys are down on the film, but perhaps worth revisiting. I found Julie Pierce's fighting more fluid and loose than both Daniel & Johnny in KK. Hillary Swank is a natural athlete. No wonder Clint Eastwood cast her in Million Dollar Baby, which she won both an Oscar & Golden Globe. BTW The Alpha Elite Arc in The Next KK was absolutely absurd but Julie & Miyagi's relationship & The Monks make it worth checking. Pierce is supposed to appear in the final 5 episodes.

Season 5 was great. Only weakness was the Mexico arc kinda seemed like a waste of time. Miguel’s dad never really felt like a question that needed answering and the only major outcome from it was Miguel and Sam breaking up because of it. Maybe a little bit of momentum for Robby building his relationship with Miguel/Johnny but not that much.

A lot of people have their own opinions about this show. Some think it's kiddy while others think it's a karate version of power rangers but I never gave up on it. Yeah it might be cringy at times but it's still a good show

Super happy to be watching this with you again! 1 of my fave things to see with you! 😁❤️ loved the Shoulder move Quinn did at 3:32 song had a great beat! Lawrence doesn't know "douche" means shower in foreign language 😅 underwater aquariums make Oak nervous? Opposite effect for me, find them so relaxing/calming, still tension between Lawrence & La Russo "we're here next to each other, not together" & wow! 1st round between Cobra Kai/Miyagi-do was intense! But looks like we got a new rival team with Iron Dragon! & straight back into action with Eps7 & ya just knew that something would go wrong when La Russo said he'd be back in time, our Miyagi-do team is so divided right now 😟 but Miguel kicked ass & if not for family emergency, he could of made a great captain for the team since Robbie's head all over the place over Tory, liked the Irish music that played during 2nd round too! & me too Quinn! I just love this show so much! Creativity in writing, Choreography for Karate scenes has been outstanding! Simply can't wait for more! 😊💚💙❤️

The last 2 episodes of part 2 were absolute epic bangers. What a shocking finish to part 2. Sorry no spoilers, but these 5 episodes are so much better than the first part. Lots of twists and turns and surprises and so many shock and awes.

Tbh I don't feel like the weakest link is Devon with Dimitri there. He was the slowest getting to the flag and Hawk was the only one who he could've even tricked like that.

@@MoonlessSky_ Devon- Took out two of the enemy, one of which was the co-captain (one of their best fighters, if not THE best) who dropped Sam like a hot rock (yeah it took a kamikaze ploy but it worked and mathematically was a great plan) and was the only Miyagi-Do fighter besides Miguel to not get knocked off. Demitri- Did manage to take down one enemy but also took out a teammate and got himself taken out because he turned his back on his opponent (the first thing you're taught to NEVER do in battle). Which one sounds like the weak link here?

@@Wright805 She might’ve outperformed Demetri here (arguable) but he’s still a better fighter than her. There’s a reason why Kenny replaced her and not Demetri👍🏻

Yeah definitely demetri was the weak link. He was much slower than Devon in the flag race so against any of them he would've lost. Then in the first challenge Devon was handling Tory and then handling Yoon for a bit before getting double teamed whereas demetri was dropped literally before the rest of Cobra Kai even got there. Then in the elimination one, Devon got two eliminations and one was against the chick who eliminated Sam and she kamikazed to keep hawk still in there. Demetri did more harm than good as he didn't even eliminate the guy he was fighting and instead knocked off hawk and the guy hawk was anyway about to eliminate.
