After years of yoga, a teacher corrected my up dog to have my legs hover during one of my vinyasas. It makes them more challenging but the transition into down dog is more smooth.

I was taught that a "real" cobra is only as high as your back muscles can pull you - without any arm strength. That means a lot lower than shown in most YT videos. Is that not true anymore?
