were you supposed to be at the old or new profile, or is the new profile created as part of the reseting the cache when you renamed it, or does the new profile similar to renaming the name, as reseting the cache?

The new profile will reset everything, but you can always keep the old one and switch to it if needed.

It should carry over from the email server. But, if you create a new mail profile on the computer... you can switch back to the old one at any time. Just don't delete the old one.

You may need to reinstall Outlook by doing Office repair. Go to Add/remove programs, find Office, right click, repair

Hi cobuman, For users with maxed out mailboxes if I show users how to create search folders in outlook (older than 24 months/older than 18GB months) does these search folders themselves create more space (as inbox folders) or are these search folders just a view?

correct, you are just searching/view and not adding anything. If they run out of space they can move old emails to local .PST which is the archive folder created in Outlook. They do need to know that if their computer dies that PST is gone too... mostly likely.

I don't see that mail Icon in the control panel. however, my thing is I believe I am using it. ****Do you see the bottom of your screen there is an envelope some how I am connected to my gmail acct like that and I have been using it just fine for the last year however. recently it wont send from one gmail acct it uses the other gmail acct i have set up on there but I don't want it to send from there. Can you help with this please?

Sure, are you using Outlook to send GMAIL? Also, you my have multiple email profile which is why it's acting like that. What I mean is that if you look in Control Panel and under Mail there are different mail profiles you can select to use upon loading Outlook. You can even tell it to ask you which profile to use when you open Outlook.

Hello, great video, I came across your video because I am trying to troubleshoot the error, Error synchronizing folder [800CCC0F-0-0-560]. Where my inbox is showing my emails as unread even after I open the email and it goes back to unread. Do you know how to fix this problem? I have tried everything even changing the desktop and still have the same issue. I really appreciate it if you could help.

Try using the web version of Outlook to see if issue persists. I'm assuming that you are using a Microsoft email account. If you are using Outlook for other email provides; maybe try this fix: blog.systoolsgroup.com/outlook-error-800ccc0e-0-0-560-synchronizing-folder/

If you create a new email profile it should resolve your problem. This can be found in Control Panel under Mail.

cobuman, if my outlook is hack, and some emails stolen how to get the email back, I try to restore delete mails but is not there, so is there a way to get the old emails and i did not back up my emails. I contact microsoft but they asked me to pay $2 and there will be refund but I dare not do it it hack they might hack my credit card accounts.Thanks for your help and advice

Do not give your personal information or credit card to anybody. MS should not be asking you for any money. The only way to restore deleted emails is to contact server admins through proper channel. So, who ever hosts your email account contact them. If your email is from MS then go to Outlook.com support; you can also go to Outlook support forum answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum
