The many showers and offices make me wonder if it was a group home. Or caring for several people. Several doors had automatic door closures not found in residencial homes. Interesting find!

This house is so intriguing! I really love it, except for those showers downstairs. I wonder if they had kids come and stay for summers. If they did do mission work, then maybe that’s why those weird showers. I bet there was a pool and possibly stables on the property. I especially loved the balconies/sun porches. Thank you for this fascinating explore!❤

I’m from Georgia. Looks to me like this is a mountain home. In the past 20 years, it’s become more of a thing for rich people to have a mountain home. Some rent them out when they are not staying there. Back when this home was built, it was far less common and something for the more wealthy. Probably lived in Atlanta during the week and went to the mountain home on the weekends until retirement. My guess is that this home needed so much work by the time the old man passed, it wasn’t something anyone wanted for whatever price was asked. The daughter was probably in her sixties and had this to deal with liquidating things in addition to her husband’s death and looks like she had grandchildren. It’s a lot to liquidate an estate for an old person with 30-40 years of accumulated stuff. I had to deal with that. The daughter probably just took what she wanted. Looks like no one has been there in years now. The land is probably where the value is.

Definitely an interesting explore. Looks there might have been 2 sets of groop showers indicating they might be for male and female. As far as the CDs, those are classic rock and definitely worth giving rush a try if you never heard of them. I would think everyone would have heard tom Sawyer before, but I'm guessing it must have been before your time as you definitely recognized the rapper. I feel old now haha.😂

Love the porches and the green bedroom. The frames in the living room area probably were Shoji screens. The wagon wheel lights in the ceilings are old fashioned western type lamps. The little white table in the room off the living room is a baby changing table repurposed for some reason. And the multiple showers were probably used when they came in from riding to get the horse/barn off before going into the rest of the house. We used to have shower in our basement to wash off farm dirt before going into the rest of the house.

Bryan Adams and Rush are Canadian rock artists. This is so fascinating!! It's. Oil that it's hasn't been trashed and ransacked, hence why you didn't list the actual address. It just makes you wonder about the history of the house, who built it, who lived and died there, etc.

Could have been a household with a lot of children, maybe adopted or foster. Showering and morning bathroom time I'm sure can be hectic, so with the multiple showers that solves the issue. But who knows, just my thoughts on it. The balconies are for sure my favorite part of this house. Sad that it has gone abandoned, could be a really nice home, but with the roof having issues it won't last long.

Not a green room, probably a den and the table is a portable bar set up. I think the odd feeling you got is because this house has grown organically, added on to without much of a plan but done to fit the owners needs at the time. The closet space for the master bedroom, which forces you to walk through the bathroom probably was a bedroom at one time. I can't guess what the purpose of the odd showers and toilets are in the basement. It seemed like a prison set up almost.

Maybe this place is for Family reunions, Weddings, it could have been a summer camp with horses and walk abouts difrent physical activities . That full view blue furniture with the Flag from the top banister hanging down:). I had seen a home that the Coca cola vice president lived in the USA and its worse then a dog matted fur . Someone who had money didnt care the walls were falling down or holes in floors and walls when he moved out they had to tear it down a build a new home .I love this hole place i have the same views everyday trees and green grass birds chirping with a hot morning cup of coffee.
