This house is a typical 1960's style track home. The knotty pine walls, cabinets is the same as I was raised in as a child. I'm 66 yrs old & my parents lived in the house I was raised in until they were in there 80's. My Father died 2 yrs ago & me &my brother kept the home.

She was conscientious. Amazing it is in such good shape. Probably lived through the Depression and didn't throw things away. The products in the bathroom are ancient. The tile in the bathroom is impressively clean. Looks like they traveled and got dolls for souvenirs.

13:34 Two single matching beds in one room are called twin beds not double only so as not to confuse some people. You have found a beautiful home here. Maybe the daughter has an idea she will be back to live here or she has not got room at her present house to fit this furniture.

This isn’t insane as you seemed to like to say. It’s not crazy either. It’s a well furnished home with a lot of linens. The home is a colonial home. The family room is furnished with Early American. The dining room is traditional. It’s lovely and nicely appointed throughout. The bedrooms with two beds have twin beds in them. You’d confused me by calling them double. One other room had one bed and that bed is a double.

I wonder how many items she put away with the thought of using them later on for a special event, and never got to use. So sad. That’s why I’m always telling ppl to use everything given to them, to enjoy your things before either ends in the garbage or abandon. My Grandmom used to put beautiful items given to her for special occasions and never got to use :(

I mean if the family doesn’t want the house and the stuff that’s in it they can sell it to someone else with a growing family to enjoy this beautiful home and before it comes to a point no one can live in it the house is still in great condition that you don’t have to do much to it it’s still move in ready and you can slowly fix the things you don’t like as you go along. Btw that doll you called a clown is actually a raggedy Anne doll. I prefer baths

The room with the washer/dryer & shower is what my grandparents in Texas called a mud room. My grandma even had an old treadle sewing machine. At their farm (house looks very similar also with the wood paneling etc) was connected to the garage, kitchen, & had a door to the backyard. Theirs had a sink & it’s where grandma would make grandpa clean the fish he caught. Their kitchen had a breakfast bar that was between the kitchen & dining room. They had a stovetop like that one & 2 ovens stacked in a wall. Oh! That chest with the diamond carving in the “hang out room” is an old hope chest!

Beautiful home but I get a deep sense of sadness about it... no family member has returned/retrieved anything; not one item...it's a nicely appointed home; nice furniture/family portraits/personal items, etc. They were solidly upper middle class...just sad to me. May she RIP.

That is some of the most beautiful French provincial bedroom furniture I have ever seen. I had the white/gold FP that sold at Sears! Not quite the caliber of this home's, but I just turned six when we moved into the house my mother designed and I got my own room! My sister got a dark wood bedroom suite and we both got the canopy beds we begged for! Mom built a Jack and Jill bathroom between my sister's and my rooms. After all the fuss to get our own rooms, for about a month, I slipped into my sister's bed because I was lonely! I am living in my parents' home, built in 1957. Not the house I grew up in, the home they moved into in 1995 when they retired. I took care of Mother for four years, as she had advanced Alzheimer's. So, I inherited the house. It has original tile bathrooms with blue toilet, sink and tub in one and yellow in the other. Knotty pine kitchen with built-ins. Everything is in pristine condition.
