Making great progress team. Remember .. there are a lot of people here and out there that like to see glorious sanding and painting. Don't sell that stuff short.

Both the port and starboard floors turned out great. Cleaner and brighter interior. Soon the galley/cabin and cockpit. I really like the gray/orange color combination. Hope you find other innovative ways to magically incorporate orange into other areas of the build.

Looking good - I am painting my cat at the moment and am rolling it instead of spraying. I think it is a really good skill to be able to paint nicely with a roller. I probably have already written that I am getting really nice results using Wattyl Poly 400 with L 754 brushing thinners at 20% and not 5% as stated ansd using 4mm nap microfibre rollers. It works out really nicely and you can do convoluted surfaces fine as the edge stays wet for up to 15-20 minutes, great for interiors. It is much better for your health than spraying inside. Also it is not much slower as you don't have to spend heaps of time masking and removing masking tape and screens. (Your sprayer wasn't wearing positive pressure masks, and neither were you - I used to do this too but it is bad practice). As for rollers on a stick, it is tricky, you need to be up close to see a wet edge, so I still use 100 mm rollers and get close and never use a stick. Sticks are fine for a house but my mate who rolls boats for a living doesn't use anything but hs eye and a small 100mm roller and gets jobs as good as a good spray job. Play around with topcoats and you may be able to do the interior without massive masking and overspray - I couldn't even see properly when I sprayed inside a small cat - it was awful. Keep up the good work, but have a go at rolling topcoat and it may save you some time and money and not ruin your health.

Rolling also works, we use rollers where we can't spray. In general without need for brushing. Both methods have their pros and cons. But even with the masking and cleaning I think we save time. As well as, in general, get a better result (from our experience). Thanks for watching and your comments. Really appreciate it We'll be starting the outfitting soon. / Axel and Rox

That looks really good with that orange stripe. Your boat is beautiful looking! Hopefully I'll get mine built and possibly get to share a beer in some out of the way anchorage somewhere. How many years do you plan on cruising?
