Was IW3 the last engine where you could mod maps using Q3 Radiant? KZbin only has videos of people doing this using COD4, World at War, and Black Ops 1. Nothing using later iterations of the engine. Is that because the later engines were too far removed from Id Tech 3 and therefore maps could only be made using in-house level editors?

Haha thanks for your kind words mate! I'm an electrician / doing automation at a local power plant .. so nothing fancy. I'd really like to get into the gaming industry at one point. Preferably as an environment/lighting artist .. doing a bit of code and QA here and there

I think you should try to make the radiant sync with blender because it is very easy to do stuff in there. Radiant is very un-userfriendly.

@@UncleBurrito15 You clearly don't understand how this works, this isn't a "plugin" this is done through memory address handling in code. Those addresses would change each time you update Blender's executable. Maybe it'd be possible to do with a plugin, but I don't make Blender plugins so I don't know how extensive they allow you to tweak Blender through plugin code. It would be very hacky if anything.

This is really a stunning work! This might be a stupid question, but do you think it would be possible, just hypothetically, to port the client to Linux? I'm aware it would take a lot of work, if it was even possible... Replacing all winapi with xlib, winsock with linux sockets, directx with opengl/vulkan... I know it's possible to run CoD4 in wine/proton and from the graphical point of view, everything is really smooth, but the problem I was facing was an input lag. It just wasn't as responsive.
