Charles' Code is upon his right hand. The same hand the grasped Lelouch's neck. The same neck we never again see for the rest of the series. While it is true that one who possesses a Code cannot also posses Geass, the only time we've observed this rule is in the case of those who obtain the Code of the one who gave them their Geass. Charle's Code is V.V.'s code. Ergo, Lelouch can posses both. A "Code Geass" if you will.
@taylorhogue3167 жыл бұрын
I've thought the same thing. It's also possible, given how C.C. got her code, that you only lose your Geass once you die and activate the code. This is why I'm interested in R3. It is also interesting that the second season was called R2. Which is R.R. Which is the Japanese version of Lelouch Lamperouge.
@th3azscorpio6 жыл бұрын
Black Lister Yup. The code is only activated when the person is killed/mortally wounded.

Uh actually no V.V died but Rolo keeps his geass so death of the giver doesnt = to disappearance of the geass so this also signifies that code and geass really cant exist on same person so i think there will be another reason for lelouch's revival
@Alexis52246 жыл бұрын
Black Lister Geass and Code cannot coexist. A user who has reached max level of Geass can move to taking a code. Thing is you may indeed take the code but unless you die it is not activated thus making Geass usage possible. At least that's what I've understood from watching this series so many times xD
@Elly39813 жыл бұрын
Seeing this made me understand why Charles was indifferent to Marianne's assassination. Because he knew she wasn't really dead. Too bad he wasn't considerate enough to let Lelouch in on it.
@traveler80102 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure it was secret so that V.V will not discover that Marianne is alive. Remember, V.V loved Marianne, and that is why he assassinated her, and that is why she had to transfer consciousness.

I just realized... it is both. He wished upon the world of C, (which is also the world where Geass and Codee come from.) And also used his Geass on the world of C, (collective consciousness thus his consciousness and Charles's as well) to Not stop time, move forward, stop Charles's will and anything involving that. Thus Charles and Marianne had to die/disappear be absorbed to continue time and life. Charles puts his hand on his neck. He tells Suzaku to not interfere, because right after that, because he has also reached a level of geass, tells him "disappear" (which is the actual translation from Japanese of Kiero) Meaning... ultimately, with help from the Collective consciousness and God/Gods and his command, he made Charles disappear/die. Taking the code that was in his hand to his neck, which is why he told Suzaku to not interfere (A only he was able to handle Charles wtith his level of Geass and B, of course he would not have wanted for Suzaku to get a code at all) I analyzed this scene, C.C's story, and Japanese interviews from the creators and now I am convinced that he had the code and did not die. He had to activate it with the impaling. Just as Charles Shot himself in the heart right after taking V.V's code. But Charles never foresaw that the collective consciousness could be contacted directly.

I really have to say this theory needs to die if leouch got to live forever I feel it would ruin the message of him paying for his sins and his overall message
@DumbVortex8 жыл бұрын
+MrCwilson42 Thats why the ending is so good, its ambigious, you can interpret it how you like it. I like to believe Lelouch did get the code and he is now immortal, living with CC with the codename RR (since his japanese name is rurushu, CC is japanese is pronounced C2 and the season is called R2). I like this interpretation because Lelouch still has to pay, he changed the world for the better and instead of taking credit for it he became the public enemy known as the Demon emperor. He basically has to abandon the persona "lelouch". Also it emphasizes how smart and miracle maker he is. After analyzing how things turned out i can only think "All hail Lelouch". Final detail and minor detail... CC and Lelouch was the best ship in the series and the only one that actualy had foreshadowing, on the last episode of R1 lelouch said "if you are a witch then i shall become a warlock", guess what, he did!

God in the Code Geass universe isn't God like in real-life religions. It's just the identity of every single human in the Code Geass universe, dead or alive, together as C's World (World of C). That's why it's also reffered to as "Collective Conciousness" at times. This doesn't exactly mean that the person is completely inside the World of C (they only truly go there when they die), it only means that the person is a part of it. So Lelouch, Nunnally, Charles, Kallen, Cornelia, Rivalz, Nina, etc. every single human being in Code Geass is part of the World of C and they go there when they die.

While I am a huge fan of the English dub, I feel that this scene was better dubbed in the original, Japanese dub simply because the dialogues felt more natural. The English dub of this scene sounded a little forced and over-the-top/melodramatic in my honest opinion

***** that's how I feel all English Dub acting sound like for Anime. They simply cannot compete with the level of VA in Japan.
@LGNxProductions9 жыл бұрын
+Rohit Rao I understand what you mean. I side with the English dub though (Rare for me), simply because they are royalty of Britania. The English fits better. I see how you can say it felt over the top, but it was the most "real" sounding dub for this scene. His as you said "Over-the-top" performance felt kinda right. I mean he is finally getting a chance to talk to both of his parents about what happened & then sees that it isn't just his father that didn't care for them, but his mother as well. To top it off, the script for this scene had amazing dialog & emotion. The Japanese dub feels like they were trying too hard to stay in the role of a character in a "Royal Family". Using words that felt out of place & weird.. Not to mention most of the male characters sounded the same in Japanese Dub. I admit both voice actors for Lelouch killed it! (In a good way), but the English dub overall had a way better cast. It is one of the rare anime that got it right looking for an English voice actor cast. (Like Full Metal Alchemist) Everyone's views are different. This is just my opinion and am not trying to argue or say your wrong. You know how people are... lol
